Q: Will this unit fit 883 sporster 1996?

Yes it will fit all the sportster range, excellent light and it was plug and play, I have noticed some condensation if the weather is cold after being out for a run but it clears quickly

Q: will this unit, pass a uk mot? does it blind on coming drivers? and can the beam be adjusted?

It’s fine for MOT as long as the beam falls within the correct area. I fitted mine to a Harley Sportster so, adjusting the angle and height of the beam is easily done by loosening the headlight housing nut. Obviously, if the beam is too high it will blind oncoming drivers but all motorcycles should have their own headlight adjustments built-in. The light does not have it’s own adjustment. Hope that helps.
