A delightful read!🍓🥞
This book is a heartwarming romance set in a small town. This story features a single dad, a lovable nanny, and a gruff but charming chef. It’s all about love, family, and belonging. This series is so much fun! I’m loving every minute of it, and this book is the perfect springtime read, lighthearted and delightful!Archer finds out he’s a dad to a sweet 5-year-old girl named Olive after her mom’s passing. He leaves his exciting life as a chef in France to care for his daughter. Iris is a fun-loving yoga and water aerobics teacher who loves working with older ladies. She’s not looking for serious relationships or kids, but she becomes Olive’s nanny due to financial struggles!❤️Olive is my favorite, she’s so sweet and clever. This book made me fall in love with the single dad trope! The community was warm and lovely too, it felt so real!🫶🏻This series is perfect for a light, cozy read with a small-town charm, just like Gilmore Girls! I highly recommend this book or this whole book series!🍓🥞

I just fell headfirst into "The Strawberry Patch Pancake House" by Laurie Gilmore, and I'm still pinching myself to see if it was all just a delicious dream. This book is like discovering a hidden gem in a quaint town – you won't want to leave!Archer, a world-renowned chef, finds himself in the quirky town of Dream Harbor with his adorable 5-year-old daughter, Olive. Cue Iris, the free-spirited nanny who's about to turn Archer's life upside down.

perfect small town read
a sweet single dad romance set in the small town of Dream Harbours where Archer finds out about his daughter after the mother of daughter passes away. Now not only he has to move to the small town to take care of her but also settle down so that he can provide stability. When because of the job he starts looking for a Nanny, Iris is what the people of town recommends. What starts as a fear of her incompetence leads to so much more because of attraction.I felt that the couple deserved a little more built up in their relationship and I wish more scenes of Olive and Archer were there. The spice was adequately put and I liked the fact that the insecurities and inner thoughts of Iris where shown which were raw.

It's a feel good romance 🍓
This is a warm, feel good romance with just the right amount of heart, humor, and emotional depth. Laurie Gilmore brings the small town of Dream Harbor to life with a story that’s both comforting and engaging.Archer, a talented chef who’s just discovered he has a young daughter, Olive. His world flips upside down as he moves to a quiet town to give her the stable life she deserves. Enter Iris, a spirited yoga teacher with a gentle heart and a fear of putting down roots. When Iris becomes his daughter’s nanny, a slow and heartfelt connection begins to bloom. There’s forced proximity, one bed, found family, they’re written in a way that does feel like really smooth. The emotional parts hit just right, and Olive honestly steals a few scenes with how sweet and clever she is.Overall, it’s a cozy, low drama read with heart, chemistry, and some really lovely moments. Perfect if you want a slow burn romance that makes you feel safe and seen.

Loved this single dad × nanny romance!
Once I started reading this book, I couldn’t stop! It was really engaging, and the pacing was just right. The writing style is simple yet effective, and it just kept me going. I could see the inner struggles of Archer and Iris and where it's coming from.I loved how Archer was such a great dad because I honestly did not expect it. The single dad romance trope has been executed well in this book. Little Olive definitely increased the cuteness level of the story. Overall, it was a lovely and enjoyable read. And I can’t wait for the final book of the series!!! *super excited*

Cozy and cute small town romance 🍓💝
Can we agree on just how cute that title and the book cover is? It is so beautiful! It definitely gets those extra points for being all pretty😚🤌🏻🎀💝Archer, a renowned chef, never imagined himself living in a small town or running a pancake house, until he finds out about his 5 years old daughter. And so Archer finds himself in Dream Harbor unsure yet determined to take care of Olive. Iris has had trouble staying at a job and working as a nanny is the last thing on her mind, but Iris needs money and this seems like the best option to her. Archer has his hands full with a daughter who does not speak to him but with a new nanny maybe he has a better chance at raising his daughter. As the two spend more time together and with Olive, they realise they have more things in common than expected and cannot help but be drawn towards each other. But Iris plans on working as a nanny only for the summer, good thing Oliver wants her to stay forever and maybe Archer does too? This was book 4 of the Dream Harbor series, a small town series of interconnected books that have the sweetest titles! And this was my first book from this series, I somehow never start a series in the right order lol. I wasn't actually planning on starting this series until I found out this was a single dad romance and I just love a good single parent trope in my romance reads😚🫶🏻Laurie Gilmore has a really easy and fun writing style. I quickly grew attached to the characters and found the small town shenanigan very endearing. It had a cozy vibe that reminded of a hallmark movie! It also had the found family trope which just elevates small town romances like this! 🤌🏻💝Olive was such a cute kid and I had so many aww moments throughout the book that included her. She just made me root for Archer and Iris so much more. As for the two, Archer was definitely my favourite! He had quiet, smoldering vibe that I just loved🙈🤌🏻😚I just know now that I'll be reading the rest of the books in the series very soon too! 🍓💝✨
