Spent ages trying to find a retro style kettle and toaster that wasn't too gimcky looking. So many sets I looked at were plastic and this is metal. Really pleased with this set, it looks good and solid and will hopefully last many years. The kettle boils very fast but is noisier than expected. The only other potential downside is the cords/plugs are bright white, they're hidden where we have them set up but maybe something to be aware of if you'll have them where you can see them.

I ended up sending both of these back. The kettle was SO loud and took a long time to come to the boil. The toaster didn't toast evenly on each side so one side was really dark and the other so light.

Its actually a strange colour of pink quite a bit darker than the photos so need to be wary of that if your matching to other items in the kitchen. The toaster is quite poor in operation as its quite a small opening and also you need it set at full to get even a mild brown toasting. we cant get it to even slightly dark toasted bread. Folks have said kettle is noisy but seems fine for us. Overall a very similar design to what we bought from Dunelm mill which was their own make so presume its probably made same place and same quality level. We replaced the Dunelm toaster 3 times and eventually gave up so im probably thinking this will last a similarity short time unfortunately.

Love the colour, boils quickly and is quite, pours nice and smooth . Had to buy the matching toaster, makes nice toast, easy to use, looks expensive.
