GOOD KINDLE EDITION OF THE ORIGINAL
I love this as a short story and the film. Ive read some terrible kindle editions of original books by Stephen King and although this is different and not as good as the original, it's still a good read

so was glad to come across an excellent used copy from Amazon
A strange fog/mist starts to come down over a small town in Maine after a severe summer storm and the the story then follows David and his 5 year old son Billy, who travel into town after the storm abates to pick up some much needed supplies. A neighbour goes with them, but David's wife Stephanie decides to stay at home. The trio become trapped in the local supermarket as the mist starts to unveil the horrors it contains within.I thought I had read all of Stephen King's books, but must have missed this one (or should I say mist this one!), so was glad to come across an excellent used copy from Amazon. This was wonderful writing from the inimitable (although many try) Mr King. He has such a beautiful and heartbreaking way of writing about ordinary people caught in extraordinary circumstances in this genre. Loved it!

Something out there
Magical short story, which I thoroughly enjoyed reading again. Simple on all levels but totally believable with a better ending than the film

Not as described
This claimed to be of very good quality which it was not. Saying it is good quality would be a stretch.

Good tale but could have been 4 times longer
Good tale... but felt a little 'short changed' as the book is not very long and story is undeveloped for a stand alone novel in the usual SK style. Would have fitted more in a book of short stories which I understand it was originally. Shame, as the potential for an epic seemed to be there just waiting to be drawn out, so given the price I was a bit diasppointed with the experience.
