This is a cute little chess board and works well. The magnets are stable and it's easy to play without the pieces falling over.

The chess board very good for like a travel chess board or in situation where tables may be bumped. Like game night at a bar or something. The magnetic pieces do stay in place really well. Everything fits together nicely and is in great condition. The chess board folds up and the pieces are contained inside. Every piece has a place. I did have trouble getting some of the pieces to stay in their place inside while closing the board. Knights especially, they were very hard to get into place. Everything else was fine though.This is again a perfectly find usable chess board with decent pieces. It is nothing special in the decoration or actual pieces. It is just simply a very nice and usable chess board. I have not accessed the chess course yet. So I can not attest to the quality of it.

I think the chess board stands on its own as a nicer starter set. The magnets feel just right, and the pieces are easy to move around the board. I like the looks and the numbering that they have added. I would probably deduct half a star for the veneer. On the corner of mine, it is trying to come up. On the whole I think it's a nice set, and the Gotham chess tie in will be a bonus to people who watch his channel. I watched the first part of the course, and yes this is an official licensed product.

My son's old chess board didn't have the spaces marked, so he wanted one like the ones he uses during his chess tournaments.He actually recognized GothamChess immediately as he is a huge fan of his YouTube channel and credits him for picking up new skills to prepare him for his tournaments, so it was a great way to show support.The board and pieces were made of solid wood and had some pretty good weight to it that made it feel really good quality. The pieces had a magnetic bottom that really made them sturdy on the board when moving pieces to keep all pieces in their spaces. There is a foam insert to store the pieces. I really like the type of foam used as it really held the pieces in place an they didn't fall out when closing the board.Aside from how good the quality was overall, the buckles were pretty cheap as the latches on each side broke off within a week. Ours doesn't lock, but the rest of the board is really nice and my son uses it as his primary board to practice on.

Black queen has a large crack. Other than that it looks okay so far.Lev .......please send me the one piece, black queen has a crack. I'm disabled and it's very darn hard to ship anything out as a return. Thankyou very much for your understanding sir and great job posting the blitz tournament at the end of the year thank you I enjoyed it.
