Not noisy
This train doesmt have a bunch of noisy sound effects, which is great for autistic children. It constantly makes the sound of a train engine, but isnt loud and no whistles or "all aboard" announcements. Just the gentle sound of it chugging along. It travels well along wooden tracks. Has separate buttons for forward, reverse and stop. Takes rough play well. The magnets to connect them are flexible so it goes around corners well. Also travels great on tile but doesn't move on carpet.

DOES NOT MAKE IT UP HILLS!
The quality of it is nice and it really is a beautiful train. My son absolutely loves it but it doesn’t go up any hills. It just doesn’t have the strength to get up them so I’m not sure why they would pair it with a track that has hills. My son has to push it up even the smallest hills we have. I wish I had known before purchasing definitely would have changed my mind. But in all honesty that was my only disappointment but otherwise it’s a cute train and my son loves it.

Great train and very fun
Great train and the kids LOVE IT! No issues going up hills we have several steep ones and trains been fine climbing them at normal speed. Works with ikea wooden train set and other sets we have combined together

Cute but battery cover impossible to remove
Why oh why can't manufacturer's put a slightly bigger screw head to "lock" the batter cover? They put ridiculously small ones that you can't tell if the screw is turning. This frustrates me to no end. I often have to take it around the neighborhood to find someone to open it and even then, its 50-50 luck.While this is cute, and my kids don't know Jurassic Park, the bullnose shape of the engine is a design flaw. It's bound to get stuck on almost any uphill track unless it's the gentlest of slopes. Most kids won't "get" this and then there are tears. This is better suited for flat track or wide-open hardwood floor.We liked the operation buttons big and on the top. The two figures are sweet, and the kids played with them.
