It works & easy to use
It does the job but if you like to work pretty fast this is not the plastic welder for you or me,but if your on a budget it's great value,if you asked me how could it be improved I would say increase the power of the heating elements so you can work quicker

A must for plastic repairs
Super easy to use, comes with plenty of different types of staples. I've recently fixed a fork guard for my Tenere 700 when it cracked from impact. I didn't need it to look pretty, I just wanted it to be a bit more sturdy which the staples definitely helped with. After a couple more drops I will probably replace the fork guards, but for now this is perfect. It takes a bit of patience and skill, and I definitely lacked both of them, so it did come out a little messy in some places. But a quick snip and sand of the staples, lick of paint to prevent any rust and it was done. For 15 minutes job, this was a great tool. Great value for money, will definitely be using this for all my plastic repairs.

Gets very hot in use but did the job
I ordered this plastic welding kit - that 's a kit that's made for welding plastic - from the Amazon brand GUTIYYO. I didn't use it on anything terribly valuable, like the trim on a motor, oh no, I used it for something way more valuable than that, my child's truly beloved toy parking garage, where the third floor has been concertina'd down into the second floor for some time now. This thing saved the day. I just saw it and thought it was worth a go. I didn't know what to expect - a quick search shows plastic welders ranger from about the 15 quid mark to more than a thousand - at £17.99 this is definitely at the lower end of the price range (!). But I gave it a go.Once I got into it I was surprised how easy it was. This welder comes with 400 'hot staples' - enough for many more repair jobs - and it heated up super quick. Within seconds. I had a look for replacement staples ( for when I've repaired everything our family's ever owned, and then some - and they are readily available on amazon in different shapes and sizes, with price in the ball park of £6.50 for 600. So that would certainly prolong the tool's use.I found the welding gun-thing easy and intuitive to use. Which is just as well as the instructions are not terribly comprehensive. Turns out, it doesn't need to be explained in massive detail, because it really only does the one thing - but it does that one thing well. The gun does heat up quickly and just to be clear it does get Very Hot so its worth wearing safety gloves if the job isn't too intricate or at the very least taking extra care.I'm really proud of myself for the fixing the garage and I will certainly try to repair other bits and bobs before throwing them out if necessary. As plastics are becoming, increasingly, the bogey man of materials, I think its important that once we have plastic in usage, might at least try to repair it where possible rather than just chucking it out. Should save a few bob too!Five stars
