This "XLR Male to Female Microphone Cable - 10 feet" from AmazonBasics is a well made audio component made from good quality parts. It performs well in use, with low handling noise and having a good flexible coating to the cable which coils easily, and doesn't develop any set if left looped around awkward angles for any period. The connectors are metal and are proving much more robust than many of the cheaper plastic ones that I've used in the past. The cable even comes with a couple of velcro loops to keep it tidy when not in use. What's not to like?

Although it is an Amazon Basics, this cable feels really good quality, there being nothing flimsy or thin about the cable itself. The plugs (one male, one female) at the ends fit tightly but are easy to release. In fact the end which connects to my microphone needs a little bit of a wiggle to make it 'snick' into place, but I would rather have that than a loose-fitting plug.The cable is the same quality rubberised type as the original one (a Stagg cable) which I bought to use with my microphone (an SE Electronics R1). This extension cable is highly flexible. It coils and folds easily, and it comes with two Velcro cable ties which are well-made and useful for storing the cable. The audio quality is great and the cable will be an extremely useful accessory for large studio or stage work.

Pleasantly surprised about the quality of the product. I was expecting a cheaply made piece junk that would still be useful as a spare but I can't see any difference in quality between this and the XLR cables that I normally use although I suspect that will be some. Perhaps in the signal to noise ratio but nothing that I could detect.The cable is of a soft rubberised type and the XLR connectors seem to be good quality. Highly recommended.

A great quality cable. Nice soft rubberised flex and good quality male and female XLR connectors and even a couple of neat cable ties. This is a good working cable comparable to most cables I've used. Well built, with three nicely soldered internal points in rugged housings. What's not to like? Well, actually I could've done without "Amazon Basics" being printed on the connectors, but then who's ever going to look?
