I really like this thing...
This was better than I expected. I am not using it with anything special, I have my pixel slate and android tablets on it. Let's give you the run-down. Let me establish for all of you Ipad users out there, I DID NOT use this with an IPAD, this review is for android and pixel slate.First the pros: This thing is build real well. It's made with metal (Aluminum or magnesium, not sure). The stand is just the right amount of stiff, so the tablet stays at what ever angle you set it at. Which is nice. Some of these things can be loose. The stand is almost like a dock, the ports are all nice and seem to work well with my slate. It can charge at the same time it uses the USB C connection. Also the "host" and "Charging" ports on the stand are labeled. I tested out all the ports and all of them seemed to work fine. The swivel on this thing is super smooth and has the range of motion it claims to. The stand also folds up well and can be moved around without any trouble at all. I really like that this thing has standard HDMI too. There aren't many cons to this thing. The only thing I have found is that this thing is limited on the charging wattage, for safety, rightfully so. The only thing I did not test on this, and I am almost certain is slower than it should be (but faster than I need), is the transfer speeds. I did not mark them down because I didn't test the speeds. It ran faster than I needed however so it doesn't matter for me.This thing was worth the money I paid for it.

Laptop docking station
This laptop docking station has helped to line my laptop screen up with my second monitor screen. It was easy for a non-techie to figure out and set up. The movement is stiff but also means it won’t fall over time. The weight is reasonable and functions to meet my purposes.

High Quality, Works Great
This is a great product. Very strudy, easy to maneuver up and down. I like that it gets my laptop up at eye-level so I'm not constantly stooped over a screen.

Just perfect for my night table
I use this for my tablet next to my bed for reading or watching content comfortably. I also use it with my laptop when I need to multitask. Great for syncing and and the port capacity makes this functional in every way.

this laptop dock stand, is just as good as the tablet dock stand I bought here last year
Last year, I bought a tablet stand dock here that's been working great. I remembered they had a larger one for laptops, so I came straight here to buy one for my laptop. I trust the quality and service. It has the same well-built design as my tablet stand but is larger and has more ports, which is ideal for my 15.6-inch laptop. I tested the USB, audio jack, and HDMI ports, and they all functioned perfectly. However, it wasn't charging my laptop, which made me think there was an issue at first. I contacted the seller and got a quick response, which I'd like to share for those who might encounter the same problem: "Typically, laptops need a higher-power adapter. So, we recommend charging your laptop directly with its original power adapter. Use the included cable to connect your laptop's Type-C port to the HOST port on this docking stand, and all other ports will work! Of course, the PD port on this dock can also charge your laptop; we suggest trying it with a 100W PD." I changed to a 100W PD, and it works perfectly. And indeed, I don’t really need the PD, the dock still works. Everything is fine.

Wow! What's not to like?
With ports for just about anything, and the ability to adjust the height and angle to sturdily hold my 15' MacBook Air, Samsung S8+ Tablet, and iPad, I'm a happy camper! Tested all the ports, and they work fine. A big decision in buying this stand/hub over others was the Ethernet connection. One point that I didn't know until I opened the box and read the instructions was that while the SD port can handle an SD card and a Micro SD card, it can only see/use one at a time, not both. Bummer, but not uncommon with hubs. I used a USBC dongle for my Micro SD, and all is well. Not an issue due to this device, but word of warning: if you have memory cards inserted, be sure to either eject them or turn off one device before disconnecting the USBC tether cable to hook up another. Otherwise, you might damage the memory card. I find that shutting my MacBook down before attaching my tablet works best. That way, when I move back to my Mac, the memory cards show up again. The stand is fantastic on its own. With all the ports, buying it was a no-brainer.

docking station no charging my laptop no relaying signal to my external screen
I bought this because I liked the docking station being integrated in the arm.however it does not charge my laptop normally and if I connect something to my USB-C port (iPad) I drains the battery of the laptop. I tried original apple cables and other cables as well. no way to fully charge my laptop.the HDMI port does not work, and I actually think that when first connected it ruined the HDMI in port on my screen.will use it as a stand, but the port is garbageI've other stands with integrated ports and they work great.

Make sure you have a USB-C model ipad
I had an older IPad and a brand new model. The model I bought it for was unfortunately the older model and it was not compatible. You really need to have the USB-C equipped model for it to work correctly. I would for sure recommend this product for any of the new IPad.
