120 FT Wire Loom 1/2 Inch, Split Wire Loom Tubing Wire Conduit, Wire Protector Tubing – Black

The wire loom did a great job for my 10 awg (two; black and red) solar cables. 3/4" is the right size so don't try to go smaller or the wires likely will not fit. Installation was generally easy as this was my first time using wire loom. It took some time to figure out how best to install quickly and found that alignment of the wires to the slot was key and that pushing the wire loom over the wires helped open the slot. This was better than trying to push the wires into the wire loom as the wire loom often closed up and did not want to open up. Running my fingers inside the wire loom was another technique but was slow and painful. End result is beautiful; much cleaner looking than the two red/black wires. Turns the pair into a cable like item that is easier to route and secure. I am hopeful too that the wire loom will provide some protection from the sun and UL light as it's outside. I will use it for the inside installation too as it will clean things up a bit.

This worked perfectly to cover an outdoor extension cord to give it extra protection.

The little guides that came with it were ingenious. I was using the loom to cover the wires on a commercial trailer. I am hoping to better protect my wires from the critters that enjoy chewing the insulation on the undercarriage wiring.
