I have a proper gas griddle which I love. We only eat veggies in our house so being able to cook lots of lovely veggies outdoors is great like fajitas, corn on the cob etc. You can't cook chopped veg on a bbq so we needed to invest in a proper griddle to be able to enjoy caramelised onions.Last year I must admit we didn't use the griddle as much as we used to because in part of the mammoth cleaning up that it entails.This griddle cover from Siruiton is going to change the way we cook and clean! I've used silicon bakeware in my ordinary oven and air fryer before so I've no reason to think this griddle silicon topper will be any different. My griddle is currently packed away for the winter but some months we have had it out as early as February so fingers crossed the sun shines soon and I can test run this mat properly. I will update my review should it not perform as expected.

Too big for the 28inch model that it says it’s designed for

Im almost put off having barbecues because of the mess you have to clear up after, not least the greasy grill covered in beef burger or sausage fat. This SIRUITON Heavy Duty 28 Inch Griddle Cover Mat and grease cup is the answer. It will fit the gridle on a large barby and is easy to clean and wipe off. Being silicon it can withstand high temperatures. The orange color is a little garish but you can't have everything!

I like this silicon mat. My barbecue station got rusty although it is still working but it looks a bit shabby. I ordered this silicon mat so that I can cover its rusty shelves with this. It is a great protective cover. It is easy to clean. It saves spoons and knives from slip. Over all it is useful and I like it.

Excited to test this out on my new blackstone- however I prefer the 28inch for my 28inch blackstone and it is too big. Both ways inch too long see pictures. Does not fit and basically pointless. Not great.

Advertised to withstand up to 470° C which means this "should" remain barbeque safe.The silicone griddle cover fits the BBQ perfectly with a little gap towards the back but width wise spot on. The wife says the smaller unit will also have a place within the oven - so this kit does have multiple uses.Silicone itself is excellent quality and of course drip proof. It also becomes cooler to the touch quicker once it is removed from the heat.For the asking price I have nothing else to compare it against but I believe it represents good value for money. The colour itself is pretty bright and you will quickly know if you have left it outside on the BBQ before it goes fully dark ;)

Although I have my grill stored away for the winter I look forward to using this next spring the colour makes the griddle mat stand out from the crowd. the silicon feels good quality and soft to the touch and the heat resistance up to 470F degrees means this can be used in almost all BBQ situations. I currently use a sand tray below my grill but this option would be much easier to clean between grills

This is a very good quality silicone mat which fits the large 28" Blackstone gas-powered griddle. It lays flat on the surface providing full coverage with the upstands fitting neatly around the frame ensuring all drips, fat and grease are fully contained within the mat keeping the griddle spotless and avoiding the need for cleaning.After use, liquid grease and oils can be mopped up and wiped away using a cloth or kitchen roll and solidified fats and grease is easily removed keeping the griddle beneath clean.It is soft, flexible and durable and can be popped in the dishwasher although we mostly use it outdoors while camping so tend to handwash it then wipe it dry. So much easier than cleaning a greasy griddle, reusable and should last for years.
