well i will say, i own about 10 ingersoll rand air tools and i will say they are tough cookies, i have been using this 3/8" air drill every day for about 10 years now and ive dropped it ran it over my buddy caught it on fire lmao ya i no it still runs great oooo ya u will love this dropped it in a 55 gallon drum of oil, and the same guy i still dont no how, dropped it in nitrogen bucket and how it still runs is amazing, so yes i will stand behind these products for sure and i will say yes u will get a shitty one for sure it happens but they guarantee there products, no company is perfect but with that said they are tough very tough im a millwright and have about 15 years of experience and i beat the living hell out off them they are very well made for. buy it its worth the money, this drill is not noisy at all u will love it. my experience buy a chuck with a chuck key its they way to go u will have so many more problems with them chuck less drills they run great but the chuck shits the bed after a short time take my work on that.

Excellent low speed drill
I was not about to pay what Snap-on wanted for a similar drill so I started researching the various drill manufacturers. I ended up narrowing it down to this drill in the end and am very pleased with it. It is an excellent low speed drill, love the fact that it is not burning bits up due to hand fatigue (trying to maintain a steady low speed for extended periods of time.) Use this to drill hardened bolts out of construction equipment more often than I like, so this has made the process less aggravating.I am a fan of IR air tools overall, have several impacts from 3/8" to 3/4" which see very rough use and rarely have problems as long as I keep them oiled.

Typical Ingersoll quality
This drill feels very solid and I love the fact that the trigger actually allows you to control the speed. Cheaper drills have more of a switch than a trigger, meaning they're either on or off. I am doing a lot of spot weld cutting and I like to be able to control how much heat I put into the bit, so this drill was the right choice for me. Ingersoll makes good products that last and I'm sure this one will be no different.

I R 7802RAKC Drill
It was shipped quickly and I received it just a few days after I ordered it. It is a good drill and what you expect from Ingersoll Rand. The keyless chuck is good. The trigger has a good feel (variable speed), not an all or nothing touch. Good power for a 3/8ths drill but not "HEAVY DUTY" strong.

Works great and well worth the money, much better than cheap single speed drills
I purchased this for work where I build cabinets and woodwork. The variable speed trigger is much better than those cheap drills that only do one speed. The power is good and it works exellent for drilling. I occasionally use it to drive screws but dont expect it to drive long screws without predrilling, it works ok as a screwdriver since it has only got enough torque as the pressure in the airline has. The keyless chuck is nice but if you are going to drill alot of the same size hole I'd recommend the keyed chuck version of this drill which is cheaper

Powerful drill.
This drill has a hard life on a service truck working outside in all weather conditions and performs great. I have been using this drill for over a year now and there has been no problems yet. Lots of torque, it will twist itself out of your hands if your not holding on tight. It doesn't have a very high rpm so not the greatest drill for the small bits or drilling wood, but it does get the job done.

Good quality drill
Good drill with perfect torque and speed for metal work. The keyless chuck has worked loose a couple times though.

What a tool.
This air drill runs quiet and is powerful. I installed a Röhm 871025 Type 136 Supra 6 chuck on it and now this baby is a jewel of precision. I use it everyday and we will see as time goes by the durability of the drill but so far so good, this drill is perfect but needs a better chuck to reach the next level.

worth the money.
Works fine. I love it.

Very strong drill
This drill is pretty powerful, when the drill bit gets stuck the whole drill wants to turn and snap your wrist. The reversible switch is a must have when you get stuck. The only complaint is the second accessory handle, doesn't secure very well.

you can get better 1/2" drills for less money
chuck screw head snapped off the first time i used the reverse setting and its incredibly hard finding replacement reverse thread screws for this drill. the threaded stud that holds the chuck on is also ridiculously small and does not support most modern aftermarket keyless chucks, its around 3/8" thick where as alot of keyless chucks are at least 1/2". im going to assume somebody screwed up at the factory and didnt thread lock the chuck on, so its probably not the sellers fault, but for the price you can get much better drills
