I ordered this with an open mind. Whilst I wanted a functional product I had decided I didn’t mind receiving something that had some minor blemishes or wear. I had been looking on used sites and the prices were no different. After unpacking with pristine packaging find the unit and all accessories no different from a new unit. I’ve since used it for some various baking recipes, including pizza dough. All perfect. I’m extremely happy with my processor and the price and am happy to recommend it to others

Excellent food processor!
I have used this product to grate cheese and to slice vegetables. I wish the slicer blade cut thicker slices. So far, it is working as expected. I bought it to replace a Cuisinart that was gifted to me 26 years ago! I did replace a few parts, but this time I found it more practical to get a new one. This says "renewed" it is supposed to be new, I thought, so Idon't know what is up with that. The handle is a little loose, which I am concerned about, so maybe it is renewed. I did purchase the extended warrantie, si I hope the handle is covered if it breaks! The bowl and the lid are hard for me to turn. The parts are easier to wash than the old model I had. The old bowl wasn't smo0oth inside. This one is. That makes it easier to get food out! If this one lasts even half as long, I will be thrilled!

Half the price for a great food processor! A real user's review.
First some facts:- We bought the "11 Cup Refurbished" model.- We bought a 4 year protection plan from Asurion (via Amazon).- Total Cost All in was ~$71Pros:- Great working unit, with a protection plan for about half price. We've only used it once, but it functioned perfectly.- While the base is clearly renewed (more or less, just cleaned), all of the "removeable" parts appear to be brand new, still sealed in the plastic. No food particles or anything like other reviewers stated. This includes the bowl, lid, push pieces and all 3 blades.- It works perfectly and made quick work of a graham cracker crust for our cheesecake. I have no concerns with durability or function, especially knowing I bought the protection plan.- It was packaged very well, in a Cuisinart Refurbished Unit box. It wasn't just thrown into a generic box.Cons:I knew this was listed as "renewed", so I was expecting some issue. There are about 5 small nicks and scratches in misc. places on the base unit and the rubberized buttons are slightly worn.Other Notes:I believe some of the reviewers here are a bit sensitive to the fact that their units broke in some way or another. While it says in the manual that these removable parts are top rack dishwasher safe, I would NEVER wash this type of plastic in a dishwasher. They simply get too hot and over time, WILL cause warp or stress cracks in this type of plastic. Couple that with fast moving parts and vibration, it's only a matter of time before they shatter/crack. I will only hand-wash the parts and this unit will last a very long time. The quality (even the refurbished unit) is fantastic.

This food processor is a kitchen ESSENTIAL!!!
I chose to take a chance on a refurbished model knowing I had 90 days to return. I was not disappointed. The packaging was all branded Cuisinart and pieces wrapped in new plastic. It works like a magician. I have decent knife skills but this just blows me out of the water. It slices zucchini, cherry tomatoes (yes, cherry tomatoes), carrots, celery, onions perfectly. The adjustable blade allows for customization on slice sizing. I've also been using the main 'chopping' blade to make perfect basil pesto and Zhoug sauce. The options are endless and, as a self proclaimed foodie, I really should have bought one of these 20 years ago. Delish!

Looks brand new!
While I haven't used it yet, it arrived a bit earlier than expected and it looks like it is brand new. Being a 'Renewed' product I expected to see some indication of previous use, wear/tear, etc., but not so. I may update this review in the future if need be, but so far, I'm pleased with this purchase.

They don't make things like they used to.
4/2022 I am revising my review. I hate this food processor. It is chintzy. And the lid just broke, so it won't work. Cheap plastic. Too light so it bounces around the counter. I hate this food processor. I'm ready to drop a bunch of money on a decent one. Do not buy this food processor.Everything was great with ordering. But, the cup fell and broke today. And my floor is vinyl. I replaced my 15 year old super hardy food processor with this. Granted it is about 10 pounds lighter, but the lightness has it bouncing all over the counter. And the cup is flimsy. Obviously - broke on one fall. I will be looking for a higher quality (guess that means higher price), sturdier food processor. Fortunately, my old one is still out in the garage.

Had an issue and it was handled incredibly well.
What a huge improvement over older Cuisinarts. The o-ring seal at the top of the bowl is a godsend and there is no longer a giant hole in the middle of the mixing bowl. The quality of the product since it was a refurb was perfectly fine. Looking at it closely there was a couple very minor cosmetic issues and that is fine.It came without a part and I dreaded having to ship it back and return it but I called Cuisinart's customer service and they shipped out the missing part quickly and with zero problems.Great product and great company.
