Soak it for 24 hours, don't worry it does not expand or become soft. Then steam it for 20 minutes (I bought a genuine sticky rice steamer on Amazon,) using a muslin cloth to turn it halfway through. It's just exactly as you get it in Thailand! Enjoy!

Q: Can anyone tell me if this product is peanut / nut free please?

It should be peanut/nut free, but being a product from Thailand, I cannot guarantee it. If the rice was husked in a village, then it could possibly have come in contact with peanut residue, but I seriously doubt it. Green Dragon has a huge processing plant of their own, so it's unlikely to be contaminated. However, many farmers grow peanuts in the rice fields once they have harvested their rice crop, but again, I cannot guarantee there won't be any cross-contamination. My advice is to thoroughly wash the rice before you steam it (wash it at least 4/5 times!). That will get rid of any possible dust residue. The rice itself would NOT be affected by growing peanuts in the same field as the rice.
