Awesome wheel for its price point and who it is aimed at!
For the price point and you're getting a direct drive wheel, its bang for your buck!I came from t300rs - and it is substantially better in all areas, I mean you couldn't feel the rumble strips on a t300 when taking a corner on GT7 or when you get hit at the back of your car and the rear end slides - and what can I say about the gear jolt feel - you just didn't get that quality of feel and realism and immersion on a t300!IT is a night and day difference, and I'm not sure those that are giving it average reviews, stick to your super expensive wheels then. Yeh I get it that if you came from the high end Fanatec or Moza and your trying this wheel you will be underwhelmed, but its not for those sim nerds! its for those that want a very decent DD experience that doesn't break the bank.

A mostly worthwhile upgrade
If you're looking at a t300RS then skip it. Save the extra and just buy this. It's not night and day but it's good enough and priced low enough for me to recommend you don't bother with a T300 or a Logitech wheel. There IS a discernible different between this and a t300 and the quality of feedback is better but it's bit like having good headphone anyway and then getting really good ones, the t300 is a very good wheel for what it is. The actual strength of the wheel is better than a t300 but not in a rip your hands off way. Personally I don't see the point in having the wheel ramped up to maximum it will tell you what the car is doing at lower levels anyway. The other good part is the settings and other things are displayed in a LCD screen on the wheelbase. If you want to drop the feedback quickly it's only a few presses of your wheel away, same with all the wheels settings. I drive in VR so I don't see it live but it will also display a level of telemetry, once again though preferences are historics so I try and keep it real. The build quality is good enough I guess. The actual rim feels a bit less substantial than the t300 but is perfectly adequate. The bolt spacing for the wheelbases are different to the t300 so you'll have to hope your rig has a matching hole or get the drill out if you want to hardmount it to a frame.Oh, the pedals.....At first I thought they looked like cheap rubbish but I actually quite like the feel of them. I've used the harder of the springs for the brake and seeing as the wheel feedback back brake lockup info you don't really need a loadcell to know where the limit is. They are good enough but maybe I will buy an separate pedal set as I'm missing my clutch for historic stuff.Overall it's a decent wheel for the price and the only driving sim that doesn't seem to 'just work' with it is Dirt 2.0 which I'm still messing with to get a decent feeling.

What a disappointment.
Bought this because already have tgt2 but even though I've updated all firmware it doesn't recognise my Farrari 488 wheel.I rate the tgt2 better than this. Also had ffb drop after a hour and half of using.

Recommend 100% 💪💪
I couldn’t be more happy with this thurstmaster t598, amazing FFB, really smooth, it’s not even on the max power and feels more than 5nm. Amazing and I recommend 100% to anybody who got doubts about this wheel. With this new update the oscillating stop ( I saw it before in other YouTubers) and feels awesome. The gear jolt wow gives u that vibration in all cockpit it’s fantastic.

Great but promised load cell still missing
This is my first racing wheel so I'm not able to compare it to the competition.Set up was a complete nightmare. Updating the software involved using a pc instead of my ps5. Also attaching the wheel to a racing stand involved drilling new holes for both the wheel and pedals. The GT omega definitely doesn't line up and to my understanding it won't fit Next Level racing stands either.Once set up on a GT omega apex stand it has been great and my racing games are so much more enjoyable. Several online reviews said that 5nm isn't powerful enough but to me it feels good and it has given me some idea how much grip I have left although I'm still learning how to interpret everything.Obviously some games are better with this wheel than others but I think that's more to do with the game developers than thrustmaster. From my experience, gt7, dirt 2, ea WRC, Forza Horizon 5 and F1 25 give detailed feedback regarding how much grip you have. Asseto Corsa, Wreckfest, Grid Legends and Dirt 5 add weight to the steering and allow you to feel bumps / curbs but give no grip feedback. The steering wheel is good for a packaged wheel and there's no immediate need to upgrade. The pedals are great with lots of resistance options but don't come with load cell. Judging by Thrustmasters failure to deliver promised upgrade rims for it's Evo wheel, I won't hold my breath for thier promised pedal upgrade.Despite the negatives, I am delighted with this setup and it's now the only way I want to play my racing games.

Excellent upgrade
Upgraded from T300rs gt. This is night and day. Much more feeling of the road and understeer. The pedals are also much more precise while requiring less force.

It is a really good wheel
I think the first batch released might have had some issues. The wheel kept disconnecting from the PS5, and the throttle would randomly stop working. I returned it and bought a replacement. The new one has no issues at all and is performing very well. The force feedback is much better than it was on my old TX wheel. If it weren't for the initial problems, I would have given it 5 stars.
