Complex model made easy
Superb kit well worth the high price. Positive fit of parts make assembling a joy. The engineering makes the build virtually foolproof.

A model kit that lives up to the hype.
There have been many kits that have been hyped but failed to live up to the expectations through issues with fit, detail ease of build but the Tamiya 1/48 F-14D is one that lives up to the expectation. It's accurate and easy to build as long as you follow the instructions, the fit is so good and precise that it literally clicks into place sometimes. This is not to say that care does not have to be taken, you must ensure that the mating surfaces are smooth and that all evidence of sprue attachments are removed as the fit can be affected should you not do this. Other than that as long as you follow the instructions you'll have a painless and enjoyable build.

Very good kit
The kit itself fits together very well,however the canopy does not at least not on mine and I e been modelling since I was 10 so that's 49 years doing many jet fighters so the canopy not fitting correctly is a 1 star fail or it would be 5 stars the decals aren't so good either especially compared to italleri decals which are a joy to use but overall I am happy with the outcome

Usual Tamiya quality and attention to detail - essential for F14 fans.
Received today and added to stash. Exceptional quality and ease of assembly so typical of Tamiya. Have built F14 A from another and had some challenges with fit but that's all part of modelling. Colour schemes and accessories exceptional which includes crew. Have also received new Airfix Vulcan. Buy that too while stocks last
