EXCELLENT BOOK ON AYURVEDA
Excellent, no words to praise. As a Keralite, I can proudly say that kerala is fortunate enough to have numerous Ayurveda pharmacies in every village, town and city. This book is an eye opener for every health enthusiasist particularly an Ayurvedic believer, and wide opens the door about the rich system of what Ayurvedic way of life is, the DINACHARYA. The highligts of the book are many, one among them is, the important points of each chapter is given as a box item. This will help the reader at least glance through the important points and then come back for a detailed study. This book will be my life long companion. This book has given me the courage to explore more about Ayurveda. For me its a great gift from Dr. Bhaswati Bhattacharya. Thank you Doctor for the excellent work.

Everyday Ayurveda
Written in a lucid style the author says that Ayurveda is a way of life not a system of Medicine! As long as the digestive fires are burning bright one has just to keep on feeding proper kindling that changes according to season and age of the individual for continued good health! Makes for interesting reading.

Very grateful that this book is available and accessible
I can't thank Dr Bhaswati Bhattacharya enough for writing this book. My mother used to practice some of the simpler dinacharya aspects as a part of our daily upbringing. The fact that she knew of these practices despite never having gone to a school and married very young, means that many of these practices were culturally adopted as a matter of fact in her generation. With rapid urbanisation hardly these dinacharyas are practiced. I am glad this book is there to open us uneducated minds to simply sync in with what was already available to use wisdom of daily living for generations in india. My deepest gratitude to the author.

Good book in the form of story
The book is nicely written, in well articulated and figurative language. However, it could have been more explanatory. Images could have been included to make it more interesting. Nevertheless, it's a good read for the beginner.

Marvelous
To be honest, that cover page attracted me and just for namesake I initially bought... But after going through every pages, I realised that every word said in this book is a treasure. I really loved it and trying to implement it. Because, it's our science, our lifestyle, some experts like Dr. Bhaswathi Bhattacharya is the need of the hour to explain this precious things to the current and upcoming generation... One sentence in that book really striked me like a bullet in my head... " You are, not what you eat. You are what you digest ". It's an eye opener. Every Indian should read and enjoy this book. Thank you Dr. Bhaswathi Bhattacharya

Full of facts and info
I've been dipping into this book so far. It's a much thicker book than I was expecting, so it may take me a while to get through the whole thing. I'd have preferred something sharper and crisper and getting down to business more (what to do and how to do it). Some folk will soak up the anecdotes, but these felt like too much of a distraction for my dyslexic brain. All that said, I am appreciating how the lifestyle habits have been grouped and described. Now it's down to me to incorporate those that I can and want to.

Old is Gold ! For sure !
In this modern era of high speed internet, it's easy for one - if not conscious enough - to get stuck in the quagmire of information barrage. The world seems to be a place to gather more & more : entertainment, so called latest trends & knowledge, current affairs with too much extra content for novelty, & social media to say the least. When in such a situation, what others think & approve in general becomes what one seems to accept as to be followed ! "Morality like a chameleon takes the colour of the circumambient society." - as saint Paramhansa Yogananda aptly said decades back. Then, he adds (rephrasing might occur) : "But the laws with which the Lord upholds the creation are never altered - no matter how hard man tries."This is exactly what this book tells us about : many of the subtle laws of nature which govern our lives !The vicious so called modern attitude, as mentioned earlier, is shaken to its very core of weak foundations !When we are in harmony with nature, we pave way for our Ultimate Quest - the quest of Absolute - the only Truth - in this ever changing world !This book sheds light in the dark forest, to show us the way made known to us by the sages - the Great Ones !
