Hayward DEX2400CR Flex Air Relief Assembly Replacement for Hayward Pro Grid Vertical D.E. Filter

This product assembly comes in three pieces. All of them fit properly and were installed with ease. This product kept the DE from Washing into the pool as the original leaked due to a hole in the fabric.

I'm not sure about the black plastic wrap that came with it because I reused the one I had that looks like what is pictured. Also, I had an older Hayward Microclear DE 480S that used a shorter one but I just heated it with a hair dryer and gently bent it to so that it fit.

Works as expected. The nylon tube is very stiff and could be more flexible. When you assemble the top part of the filter housing, it pushed down hard on the tube, so be careful not to push too hard and break the tube.

This is a little pathetic that it's this far off than what's shown. The actual item is what's pictured. What they send is a white flex tube not black and the top is open not capped as the white one shown. The fabric sleeve shown which is also closed at the top so that it fits like a sock, is not what you get. They send a roll of black mesh material, not closed at the top and not sealed in any way. Pathetic part is they include line art instructions for the items pictured and not what they send. You have to get fairly creative to make what they send you work and even then you have to guess if it actually works...again, not sure how they are getting away with this...all for a $20 item

Looks like Hayward changed this part. The description picture was wrong and was not the part I needed.
