I'm not sure what you mean by adulterated? I received my set of 2, shrink-wrapped with a item# sticker (looks like a Costco business sticker). I know these are only available as single bottles at Costco, but I haven't been to Costco in almost 4 years (decided not to renew membership). These look and taste every bit as genuine as the bottles that I have been using for over 10 years (have been buying these via Amazon for the past 3 years). I hope that helps.
