Life Changer in our family.
This bike is a life changer. I'm disabled and would sit and watch my husband and grandkids ride bikes, roller blades, skateboards, etc. I have heart issues and tire easily. My husband bought me this in my favorite purple. I now can join them on bike rides. The trike is secure and if I don't have the strength to pedal, I use the throttle to keep up.

Great e-trike
All fasteners have nylon lock nuts. Controller is in a box in the frame, wiring is also in the frame. Assembly book is perfect.

Stay off grass!
So far I love this etrike and it does the job for getting around and cruising. But I fell twice and both times were on grass. The first time, I was testing the bike to see if it could ride in the grass. Level grass of course. At first it was ok but then I suddenly felt I better not try it. The bike does not have reverse. You can not peddle backward. So I had to turn around. But when I did, I found myself stuck in an awkward position near a ditch and before I could hop off and catch my own balance, the trike tipped and I went tumbling down with it and right in to that ditch. I was in an upside down position and had trouble getting up.The second time, I was riding on a sidewalk and the back wheel slipped over the edge. I’m confused about why it, again, tipped over, because it wasn’t like there was a curb 6 inches difference or anything. The concrete met with the grass level. I’m convinced these e-trikes can’t ride on grass period. Other than that and no way to peddle backwards, I love the bike. Strangly, it rides fine over potholes on the street. You have to use precautions and slow down, but it went just fine. It gave me the feel of riding a bike again. Perhaps next year I’ll be ready for a two wheel normal e bike.

Works great both assisted and as a regular trike
Got this for my mother-in-law, who wanted to ride with us but was worried about falling or being able to keep up. It requires some assembly and some parts of the instructions weren't very clear, but if you've got a decent level of mechanical ability you should be able to get it put together. There is a learning curve to riding an assisted bike, but the controls are intuitive enough for her to understand and she's enjoying it enough that she sometimes goes out on her own without us.One slightly odd choice, there's a nice bright light for riding at night, but only reflectors on the back. I'm sure it was a budget decision and it's not difficult or expensive to get battery powered bike tail lights, but with the big battery powering everything else, it's a bit strange having to think about a separate battery for those.

Great to get around town
It takes a little bit to assemble it, but it works great. Got it for my brother who can't drive a car anymore after an accident. So for him having independence again is everything. He is not a little man either, and the bike has no problem pulling him.

Have your own tools ready
Love this bike. Got it for my 70 year old father. Works excellent. I am 240 lbs and I can get around easily. Have your own tools and 3 to 5 hours to assemble. Instructions are good pared with u tube video. Basic bike knowledge helps. Well worth the money

Use your own tools
While you could assemble this tricycle using the included tools, you will like the process more if you use your own tools. Take the included tools and throw them away (unless you have no choice), and get a crescent/adjustable wrench, pliers, a flat and Phillips screwdriver, and a metric socket set. Also, if you don’t have a chain quick-link remover, invest in one. And yes, you will need four to six hours to assemble this tricycle. The included photo instructions will get you in the right direction, but often seem to leave out steps or assume that what you’re doing is obvious or that you even know what you’re doing. Overall, a great tricycle, but assembly is an all day weekend project. You will get frustrated, but if I can get it done, so can you, and you’ll end up knowing exactly how to fix your trike if something goes wrong in the future.
