... will do its job but u will need a better compressior than I have
Seams to me it will do its job but u will need a better compressior than I have , mine is right at the one they say u have to have but when it's added to the hole and installed on the A/C it loses presser a bit and a bit was to much to lose to keep it where it will work the right way so use a compressior thats much higher than they say too use (but try there advise first to be sure ) cause there's lots of ways a compressior can lose presser when u add a component to it and if it's a smaller one, then u won't hold the vacuum u need to remove the water or whatever it is in there . This is just how I feel and how my A/C repair went so follow there advise first of all then see if u have better luck than me , I'm getting a better compressior to use next time I try it out .

Most of us who do auto mechanic work already have a compressor why not just use this to vaccum out the system?
For the price this works. If you have a good capacity air compressor already why buy a electric motor vacuum. It has a plastic case with metal body inside. Would buy again. I did find any quality issues with this product. Just plan on a shut off p ball valve and a filter as per the manufacture and your set to vaccum an automobiles a/c system.

... very small issues with this pump but it functioned great so I gave it 4 stars
I had 2 very small issues with this pump but it functioned great so I gave it 4 stars. I purchased this to vacuum the system on my wifes Durango.Very small problem #1 The red plastic housing had broken clips on the bottom, but that didn't matter because the case is held together by the fittings.Very small problem #2 The fittings on the end are for R12 and 1/2" ACME. R134a (and most gage sets) does not use 1/2" ACME, it uses 1/4" flare. This is a cheap fix. I ordered 'FJC 6015 R134A Refrigerant Tank Adapter" and that screws onto the 1/2" ACME. That was a very cheap and easy fix.The air line input does not have a fitting so when I attached a quick connect, I also added a ball valve to easily control when the pump is running. The pump operated flawlessly and drew a great vacuum in under 5 minutes. I have a 30gallon air compressor with a 2hp motor. The compressor ran continuously while the vacuum was running. If your air compressor is smaller than this, I don't recommend this.

As described
The reason I say it's OK instead of great is my own fault. I was expecting a direct vacuum device, not a venturi type. The description clearly says 'venturi type,' so I am just another person who skims over descriptions before buying. It actually works well, it's just that venturi types require lots of air flow to work. You need a big compressor if you're going to use it a lot.

Dont buy
Doesn't even work. 125psi and it pulls -1 on the ac gauge. You need at least -28.
