Does this lighter come full with fuel? Mine is not lighting

These do NOT come with fuel. I do not believe that any of the lighters come filled with fuel - as it is a shipping hazard I think. You need to fill the lighter with fuel.

I received these 2 weeks ago and they both leak at the fill valve? Read the instructions and followed the instructions, any ideas?

Sometimes when you use a cheaper butane there are impurities in the butane try emptying the butane and refilling to unstick the valve

Does it get very hot when used to toast a very thick cigar?

It most certainly does. I used it for the first time today to try to toast a small cigar and it got too hot for me to hold in about 20 seconds. Very disappointed because it looks good.

Is the butane capacity incredibly low or am I doing something wrong? I can’t get more than about 10 seconds of ignition with each fueling.

I would say you are not doing it correctly, I can get about 8 cigars with toasting so probably 80 seconds on 3/4 tank.
