Dell Inspiron 16 Touchscreen Laptop - for Business & Students, 16" FHD+ Display, w/Office Lifetime & External CD/DVD Drive, Ryzen 7 8840U, Fingerprint, Backlit KB, Win11 Pro (64GB RAM, 2TB SSD)

What I changed / upgraded:- I changed the SSD drive with a nvme recovered from my previous laptop- I added 8G of RAM from my previous laptop for atotal of 16G- lots of videos on Youtube how to open and upgrade, open, clean and maintain. Simple stuff.- ONE problem: because of the m.2 SSD drive, there is no space left for a 2.5in standard drive tray. You would have to buy a smaller battery. What I did to mitigate this: I removed the 2.5in SSD drive from its enclosure, bought a SATA cable that fits this laptop ($7 on Amazon), and basically installed the SSD without its cover. Works without a problem.It looked a bit dusty inside when I opened it, so I cleaned it carefully. Cooler fan was clean already. The battery had a piece a paper glued to it with a hand written number.So far:- excellent performance for normal computer use. I don't use it for gaming. Everything is lightning speed, from downloads, videos, documents, streaming etc.- Battery life seems very good. I didn't expect that, but I holds charge for hours.- I like the complex and easy to navigate BIOS compared with my Acer laptop.For the price I paid - less than $200, I am more than impressed.

Kid broke their laptop. It's old, but not yet obsolete and perfectly suitable for a child. Was quite happy to find a refurbished machine of the same model. Swapped the hard drive over and back in business.Machine was in good shape. it was affordable. Also arrived quickly. What more can you ask for? No complaints.

This laptop (Dell Latitude 5591) looks, feels, and behaves is if it is new from Dell! I can state this as I received my work laptop (Dell Latitude 5590) as a new device. This seller did amazing work refurbishing this laptop. I purchase this particular Dell Latitude model for personal use based on my experience with my work laptop. I could not be more pleased with this purchase. The condition of the hardware is superior - like factory new. The Windows operating system installation is also superior and stable. I have seen other laptops that claim to be refurbished, but the OS installation seems questionable. This is solid and legitimate. I waited a couple of months to write this review as I wanted to be sure my first impression of this laptop held up. And it has. This machine is reliable and stable. I would have no hesitation in purchasing from this seller again.

As soon as I booted to desktop, it reported several "Expiro" viruses. I never connected to any network, so it shipped to me full of viruses. Also, the screen hinge screws are loose under the bezel and will break if not corrected. I am a 40 year in business (retired) tech. This description is very accurate.I do not want this notebook.

It set up like a dream and is fast and quiet. I like the big touchpad, the keyboard action is good, and the screen looks great. Be sure you notice the mic mute key, which lights when engaged.
