Is the listed diameter the dimension of the outside of the lid or the opening in the teapot that the lid covers?

6.5 cm is the diameter of the smallest part of the lid base, 8.5 cm is the diameter of the outer edge of the lid base. So basically, it will fit any teapot with an opening bigger than 6.5 cm and smaller than 8.5 cm.

Will this fit on the Kiovino glass teapot as well?

Not sure ant the specific teapot you are referring to, but it worked fine on my glass teapot

Great Solution to an Accident

Slightly disappointed that this lid was too small.

I bought this item hoping that it would do as a spare for our 6 cup chatsford tea pots. It was hard to tell from the product description what the actual diameter was and in any case the dimensions given were metric which is not much good. Seems like a reasonable lid for many tea pots but too small for our ones which have infusers.

Design fault

Not a good fit. The first lid broke as it didn't fit well either. There is clearly a demand to advertise replacement lids... I wrote to teabloom but never received a reply

Exactly what I needed

I broke my teabloom teapot lid, had a good cry as i love, love this teapot. Found they make a replacement, did a happy dance.This is a authentic teabloom replacement. Arrived super fast, in a teabloom box, wrapped in bubble wrap with teabloom tissue paper. Perfect! So happy!!
