Thank you for your question. The DraughtEx is very versatile and flexible, but is specifically designed to bridge gaps and prevent draughts between floorboards. We can therefore not guarantee it would be suitable for padding out loose floorboards. The gap between the floorboards needs to be at least a couple of millimeters deeper than the diameter of your roll. Additionally, the diameter of DraughtEx lays between 4-12mm depending on the version you buy so please ensure the dimensions are correct for your application.

What is the filler made from? Is the filler fire retardant, or at least compliant with fire proofing regulations/standards?

The Draughtex is a closed cellular Black EPDM Sponge Rubber Cord that can expand in a gap and provide protection against cold draughts and improve energy efficiency. The manufacturers do outline that the flammability resistance is low on this material, though, but is very resistant to cold temperatures and conduction of electricity.

Does this thin roll of Draughtex include the plastic applicator?

I think it did, I ordered several different sizes from different sellers but definitely got more than one applicator. Some gaps were too thin for the applicator so had to use a blunt knife or credit card, which work just as well. Very happy with product

How to order the standard size for gap 3 to 7mm

Its thin and rubbery but great to fill in gaps to stop draughts and damp hope this helps @
