Is this lens compatible with body Nikon D5200?

You can use this lens on D5200, but I would not recommend it since on an APS-C body, the lens becomes 36-105 equivalent losing all the wide angle portion. Plus it is big, heavy and expansive lense. I would recommend Nikon AF-S DX Zoom-NIKKOR 17-55mm f/2.8G IF-ED (roughly 24-70 equivalent), which designed for APS-c body. That being said, if you have the plan to migrate to full-frame body. You can buy this lens, but I still recommend something else: Tamron SP 24-70mm f/2.8 Di VC USD G2 Lens for Nikon F, with half the price, you get pretty much same image quality. The Nikon 24-70 2.8 ED VR is super sharp and fantastic. The new VR version is superior and worth the additional $ in my opinion. I highly. Recommend it.

The VR version (vibration reduction) allows the photographer to shoot more pictures in a hand held mode rather than a tripod. Especially good for sports and wildlife photography.
