What is the expiration date of the color and how you can maintain it by placing it in the refrigerator or leave it at room temperature

I wrote the company and they responded back in 1 day with this: AmeriColor! Food color does not expire. Our products are at their best within the first 2 years of when they are produced. If the product is stored well (lid on tight, out of direct light, in room temp.), they will be good for several years and not harmful if consumed. Hope this helps you. 8-)

what is the shelf life of this product once opened?

I purchased this 2 years ago and it still works and shows no sign of change since the first time I used it. I keep it in the top of my cabinet. Love this product.

Will this make a nice pink? (using less of course). Need good reds and pinks...

You could make it work, but I wouldn't use it. I would get the electric colors, they true pinks. Then you can control the different shades of pink
