is it wise to buy this kit while i have a low power telescope, i.e. celestron powerseeker 60AZ ??

Your telescope's highest useful magnification is about 142x. And the kit's lowest focal length eyepiece provides a magnification of 117x. I have been using this kit with my 6" dobsonian and it works like a charm. So, i would recommend you to get this kit as a one time investment for your telescope.P.S. Try not to exceed the highest useful magnification of your telescope as it results in poor images.
