My chess set is beautiful. The pieces are each perfectly carved. The colors of the opposing peices are distinctly different so that it is not confusing to determine which pieces are yours. The marble board is heavey and the squares to are distinct in opposite colors. The board is perfectly pieced and fastened together. I like how heavey and cool to the touch of the pieces and the board. An extremely nice feature to protect this wonderful board game is it’s Box. The board is placed in the bottom and a tray with handles that has a secure hole for each of its pieces fits perfectly over the top of the board. The lid of the box closes nicely and fastens with 2 tabs of material with Velcro. This game is from a 3rd party, not Amazon. They sent me an email telling me to check the pieces and board to make sure that there are no defects or damage. They gave me a 30 day guarantee. I don’t know however if I would have to pay shipping and handling if I needed to return it. It would be very expensive if so. I’m very pleased with the price and quality of this chess set. And the best part is that I can store it safely in its box so that my small grandchildren do not get tempted to play with it without supervision.

I ordered this chess set for my son. I wanted him to have something to remember all the good times spent playing chess with dear old Dad. My expectations were met when the product arrived. I had my son to open it not divulging the contents. The box was big and when that box was opened it revealed lots of packing material and another box inside of that one. Finally after opening the second box there was a blue case which was beautiful. In addition, the pieces and chessboard were packed in styrofoam to ensure they would be able to withstand the shipping process. As I inspected the pieces I was not disappointed and the chess board was heavy and well put together. This is an heirloom that can be kept for a long time or passed down. Something to remember the good times spent playing chess with friends and family. The set would also be great for a person who is in a chess club, this would also make a great Father's Day gift. The set is beautiful and will not disappoint and it has made my 15 year old feel like it's Christmas in May. My son and I love this. Pieces are sturdy. The carrying case is beautiful and heavy duty There is NO WAY anything will be damaged during travel! VERY HEAVY board with felt on the bottom. Felt came pre cut for the bottom of the pieces. Took a lot of pictures so that you can see the marble detail in the light. I did not adjust the coloring or use filters so you know what your buying! Well worth the purchase! This is not a promotion review, I just wanted people to see the high quality at at a resonance price! (Got this for my son and he just taught me how to play. I apologize for not knowing the correct chess terms)

I purchased this as a birthday gift for my boyfriend. When I received it the board was broke in a corner. It was very well packaged and I believe the delivery company was to blame. The outside of the box was damaged right where the crack was. I immediately emailed the company that I purchased the set from, sent them a picture, to let them know it arrived damaged. They responded quickly and sent me a replacement board in less than a week! The quality and artisanship of the board and chess pieces are exquisite! All around I was very happy with the set itself and how quickly the company responded and corrected the issue. It is a beautiful piece of art that will create memories for yearsto come.

Love this chess set. Initially I was very intrigued by all the different themed sets that are out there. However, after some research, I discovered that sets which feature pieces that deviate from the standard shapes cause an unfair advantage to the owner during games (cause of familiarity) and result in generally skewed games.With that in mind, I think this set is the perfect middle ground imo. It’s still a beautiful statement piece for the room that it’s in, but still functions like a competent standard set for games.The material and quality all feel very premium and look beautiful in person. There’s a bit of heft to the pieces too. The set also came with felt bottoms so that the pieces do not damage the board, and the whole thing also comes with a protective carrying case.My only nitpick is that because it is made of beautiful stone, you have to be a bit gentle and mindful when playing and handling the pieces, unlike if you were using a plastic or even wooden set.Very happy with it overall.

We were looking for a chess game for a while to hone our skills during the pandemic. After reading and searching for several hours, we decided to purchase this gorgeous marble set.The first set arrived broken and I returned it immediately. They were lighting fast in sending a replacement even before they received the broken one.The set is heavy for obvious reasons. The board is smooth and has a nice pad underneath that protects the board and my table.The pieces are beautifully crafted and come with stick-on pads to protect them and don't slide while you're playing.After 30 days, I dropped a rook onto concrete and broke it. I contacted Radical to order another rook and not only did they send me 4 (light and dark) rooks, they did not charge me for them.I highly recommend this set and Radical.

I bought this as a gift last year (Christmas 2018) and it was well received—a lovely set. Disappointed that both kings and a queen have broken after fallen on a wooden floor. Emailed the company two weeks ago but they have not responded. I was clear that I wanted to know only if I could purchase replacement pieces. Dropped from 5 stars in my eyes because of poor customer service.
