I've been using these in my 1950's attic, filled with several types of insulation from across the years. I can't make it five minutes up there without a mask and not start coughing uncontrollably from throat irritation. These filters work as prescribed, I've done several hour-plus stints in the attic with no issues. Same story woodworking and sanding to fine grits. Easy enough breathing that I'm able to bear having my mask on for a fair period of time after I'm finished sanding to let the fine dust settle out of the air a bit. I plan to always keep a few extra sets on hand so I'm not inclined to resist changing them regularly.

They are probably resellers of return merchandise as the box I got was a beaten up and retaped single pair retail box, not the clear plastic two pair tub that the listing is for. Be careful of who you order from.

I purchased these in conjunction with a 3M 7502 respirator. I have used these filters while sanding drywall mud in the confines of a bathroom. I am pleased to report that the filters when used with a properly fitted respirator do an excellent job. Being an asthmatic I have grown tired of using the employer supplied paper N95 masks for prolonged periods only to have nasal mucus be completely black. Given the higher amount of particulate filtered out when compared with an N95 paper mask I expect these will perform far better in a dusty shop environment.

After using the paper masks that do not seal up well around my face and fog up my glasses with every breath, I tended to not use masks at all. For wood working, that left me in a very dusty environment that would make me sneeze quite a bit. Then I did some metal work with a grinder that I bought from Amazon. It smelled terrible, and later when I blew my nose it came out black.That convinced me to buy the 3M 7500 series half mask along with these filters. These filters work very well. Whether I'm doing wood working like cutting or sanding, or I'm grinding away, I can breath easy. These filters are so effective that I can't even smell what I'm working on until I take the mask off.Also, for reference, the 4-pack is 4 pairs of filters, not just 4 filters. My mask uses two of these at a time, so this ends up being 4 complete change outs, not just two, making it an even better deal.

Careful! This item contains 4 individual filters (2 pairs). I bought it thinking I was getting a steal of a deal on 4 pairs. I checked the description again and see in the details it specifies this. But it could be displayed better in the title. This title is clearly used to mislead buyers into thinking all the other packs are more expensive.However, the filters are brand new, sealed and work great. No issues there. And this is still probably the best deal on Amazon. So 3 stars. If the seller changes the title to be more descriptive, I would switch straight to 5.

When it comes to Saftey I always trust 3M.The amount of products that they make and the amount of products that I buy specifically because it is 3M is amazing.I like these masks a lot and o want to make sure my crew is safe when doing work.These filters stop nearly 100% of harmful dust and particlate in the air. I buy these by the bake load because I don’t want anyone ever getting sick because of unhealthy work conditions.In a pinch I buy these from amazon but 90% of the time I buy them directly from my 3M dealer.Do not hesitate to buy these today. You only have one set of lungs and one body. Keep it safe and keep the dust out.
