Thanks to Amazon, I just recently discovered the Thompson line of supplements & this was the first "formula" I tried. I'm VERY impressed with the quality & will be ordering more soon. Rutin's a very powerful flavanoid that may actually help strengthen the "intima" (interior lining) of blood vessels. I first learned about it from Dr. Roger Williams' groundbreaking research, conducted in the 50's. You can read about it here: Wonderful World within You. What impressed me most was that this doctor lived to be 94 and his own personal "health program" included three foundations: pantothenic acid, daily 2 mile walks, and rutin. If it worked for him, I think I'll put his inspiring example to work for myself : ) BTW, Dr. Williams continued active scientific research AND wrote books well into his EIGHTIES!Rutin also has powerful anti-inflammatory action & can help ease joint pain; as several reviewers here can attest, it also stops hemorrhoidal inflammation (which, interestingly, is more of a vascular issue than you would think--Google for more info). Rutin has a bloodthinning effect, as well, so those on coumadin or warfarin may have to work with their doctor to adjust their dosages accordingly. juicing with kale and collard greens provides lots of vitamin K to counteract the blood thinning effect. Rutin can help with collagen production, which means it's good for the structure of skin and joints, also assisting with skin elasticity, so many reasons to take. These are pressed tablets, not capsules, but they're easy to swallow; highly recommended for their quality and value!

I ran out of Rutin quite awhile ago. While my sister was here from Florida, she started having trouble with her Hemorrhoids. I right away had to order Rutin so she could use it to get rid of them. If you have hemorrhoids here is what we do.We take 2 rutin at breakfast and 2 rutin at our evening meal. We must Drink plenty of water!!! This is very important!! Also, we take them for 2 weeks straight. If not, the hemorrhoids will come back. Believe me,.... I know this for a fact. It happened to me. I stopped taking it because I felt better. I had to start from scratch and take it for 2 more weeks.Rutin is found in many plants, fruits and vegetables. The richest source is buckwheat. Rutin is also found in citrus fruits, noni, black tea and apple peel. You can buy this in 500 mg tablets. You would have to eat a ton of fruit to equal one rutin tablet.Rutin strengthens capalaries, that is why it helps hemorrhoids.

I'm not really one to write reviews, but I always read reviews when I'm shopping to help me decide on items....and even though this is an embarrassing one, I have to share in case someone else is out there in pain. I was suffering from hemorrhoids for about 18 months and had tried many, many cures...including prescriptions prescribed by my Dr and got no relief. I was desperately seeking something that would give me relief when I found Rutin mentioned in an on-line article and checked it out on Amazon. And while I was very skeptical of the reviews that said it worked almost overnight, I decided to give it a try...AND IT WORKS! I thought it was wishful thinking when I felt some relief after the first pill, but it felt a little better every day. Red meat & caffeine would cause a little irritation, but nothing compared to what it had been. I have been taking the Rutin, 1 pill a day with a meal for almost 60 days and continue to do so. Don't stop taking it after a couple of weeks, as some people did. Keep taking it until you get full relief. I had external and internal and the external is gone and the internal is remarkably better. The article mentioned that some people had side effects of headache & nausea. But, I didn't have any issues. If you have been suffering from hemorrhoids and trying everything, try this. It's the last thing you will have to try.

I take these, at my pharmacist's suggestion, to improve my skin bruising. So far, I've not seen improvement. They aren't expensive and are a good antioxidant. They are also not difficult to swallow

This works great for my hemorrhoids after pregnancy! Nothing else worked!! Take them regularly and they will shrink after the first few days. No taste, easy to swallow, and for a GREAT price! I recommend these to every new Mama.

Purchased after reading some reviews regarding the treatment/prevention of hemorroids. Not to be too graphic, but I had an internal one that burst; so I had some bleeding for days.... I started taking the Rutin about 3 days after the burst, and within 2 days, the flare up had been reduced from half a golf ball size to a small pea size; the bleeding also subsided. It has been about one month, and taking the Rutin daily, I am free of any flare up whatsoever. Based on my experience, I would say this is a great cure/prevention for hemorroids...***UPDATE****July 2017 and not one new flare up of any kind since I began taking this product in 11/2016. I would swear by the product and just ordered more!
