Small, Dark, and Quick
Small, light, fast, and small. I have small hands and this handle is just my size. Wouldn't recommend for any man with medium to large (wide) hands. The guard and pommel will dig you. Otherwise, a quick long dagger to light short sword is what you'll get. Dark finish is nice. Admire, costume yourself, or maybe dispatch a burglar if necessary. It'll do for all three.

Very happy.
The blade is well balanced and the quality is solid for the price.

Not what I expected
The picture of the item doesn't give a good indication of the actual product. The picture gives the sense of a battle-worn sword with a weathered blade; what I got was a sword with a solid black blade with scratches in the bluing. The balance was nice and I considered keeping it, but I couldn't get past the fact that it wasn't what I paid for. With regret, I returned it.

Great buy for a short sword, bigger than you might think
Pros first; it is a very well made little blade, very tight, hot peened. The balance point is perfect, just above the tang. It looks really nice, and the scabbard is very well done. Cons; its just a little weird! The blade is huge, well beyond the scope of a seax(a seax is supposed to be an EDC utility knife with combat capabilities, much like the bowie style) and is definitely a short sword. Not suitable for edc unless you're a goon like me. My biggest issue, where this item loses a star, is in the grip. It's too small. As someone who is familiar with many different grips, I can make it work, but would be much happier with another inch. All that being said, it's one of the best EUROPEAN SHORT swords that I've seen on the market, even if not entirely historically accurate. I'd buy it again. The only better shorties in the price range are the tantos and wakizashis from RONIN KATANA. I hope one day they come out with european daggers to match their swords

Buy some tactical rubber bands.
Great seax.2 little strips of leather don't quite match up enough to have been tucked up under the pommel before it was peaned, so the bladesmith glued them to the handle.I wouldn't do any serious backyard cutting with it.Easy fix with a tactical rubber band. Now I will do serious backyard cutting.
