Better Houseware Extra Large White Sink Protector Grid (24-1/8” x 12 ¾” x 1”)

This was a great purchase for us!Edit: it’s been two years since this purchase and this still works beautifullyWe just remodeled our kitchen and I chose a white apron sink. I also bought new dishes to replace our Corelle now that the kids are older and I can trust they won't be careless with dishes. We had a stainless sink with the Corelle so we were used to basically flinging the dishes in the sink without hesitation. After a few days with the new sink and dishes, I knew we would need an insert to keep our new additions looking nice. The manufacturer of the sink was charging $70 for the insert and it was stainless steel. I preferred white, which they didn't offer. When I found this one, I was a bit skeptical due to the price compared to what the manufacturer wanted. But it was so cheap, I figured I'd give it a shot. It's perfect!! Nice quality, fits great, awesome price. Exactly what we needed! It's been in for over a month. Our sink is used a LOT and takes a beating but so far this insert is still in perfect shape. Easy to wash too!

It fits my sink perfectly. I did not measure and it worked out great. It's sturdy and fully coated. I hope it lasts long. I tried going without a sink protector, but if I had utensils in the sink for the whole day, I noticed my sink would develop rust spots. I had gray mats before, but I prefer being able to still see the sink. I've also had the metal sink protectors, but I noticed it would rust. I know the coating should prevent rust as long as it stays intact, so hopefully it last a while.

~BACKGROUND~I recently remodeled my kitchen and purchased a deep and wide stainless steel sink that I wanted to protect. After much searching I decided to try this sink protector.~PROS~- Perfect size for my sink at ~24" x 12"- Protects the bottom surface of my sink from scratches- Rubber coating on the protector does not scratch the sink- Good price - especially compared to others in this size~CONS~- The spacing of the grates makes it unstable to stand anything tall in the sink with confidence- Utensils and smaller items fall between the grates- White coating can be prone to staining from things like tomato sauce~TIPS~- Do not place anything hot onto the surface of the protector. It is a rubber coating and will melt.- As general maintenance use a sponge and wash/clean the protector every week to help prevent stains and buildup- Try to avoid allowing tomato sauce and other acidic, dark colored liquids to set on the protector~CONCLUSION~It's hard to find a protector this size, so I'm pleased that Better Houseware makes one. I recommend this item!

Yes, I buy it over and over and I’m happy with it but it sure doesn’t last long and I have to buy them often. Fits sink just right looks good.

Outside of the lack of color choices, the items does as advertised. It replaced my old sink protector that just pooled the grime under it. This is raised and allows stuff to go into the drain.

Quality

I purchased this to replace a similar product that came with my home that had a crack in the protective covering and was starting to rust. When I got it and opened it up, I didn't notice any defects, so I put it in the sink and started using it. Well, about 3 weeks later, my wife asks if I replaced the old sink protector, and I did. Well, it was cracked and it is rusting in nearly the same area as the last one.If you are looking at this product, I would look elsewhere or inspect it REALLY well before using it.

I really love this rack to keep my stainless sink from getting scratched. It is easy to clean. Works great.
