These are absolutely perfect for my hard-crack candy recipe! One little bottle works on its own. I admit I was anxious my request for specific flavors wouldn't go through in time - you'll get an email that says you have to respond with your flavor list, but that will link you to contact the seller right here on Amazon so it's actually quite convenient! I got all the flavors I asked for and they taste fantastic! Some of them do have a bit of color tint to them (such as the blueberry) but in the "right" color that you'd probably want to dye them anyway. I'm excited to use mine up so I can have an excuse to try more flavors!

better tasting than the other brands I have tried

I read some reviews about this product and thought I would give it a try. It was a little weird how you had to place the order first, then send an email with the choices of flavorings. Boy am I glad I followed through and ordered from this company!! I have been using the flavorings in my ninja creami. I have made the most awesome butter pecan, and today I made mint chocolate chip. The only con I can think of, is that we are going to get very fat because of these amazing flavors!! Highly, highly recommend it. You only need a tiny amount. To make my creami‘s, I only use a quarter of a teaspoon. They are amazing!! I absolutely cannot wait to try all of the different flavors that I have received. Shipping was so fast, got it within two days. Packaging was amazing, and the flavors were perfect!!

This is a review for Lorann Peppermint Oil and Brandy flavoring oil. These are the two flavors that I specified in my shipment of these 1 dram bottles.I use peppermint flavoring to make chocolate-peppermint caramels. I find that this Lorann peppermint oil is the highest quality and most economical of several brands that I’ve tried. For example, I tried using McCormicks peppermint extract from the grocery, I had to use an entire $7 bottle (1 ounce) to flavor one 3-pound batch of caramels. Using this Lorann extract, I’ve found that only ¾ of a teaspoon (or a single of the 1-dram bottles - only a little more than $1 worth) produces more peppermint flavor in the same size batch.We live in an area where peppermint is grown. For those who don’t realize it, there are several grades of commercial peppermint oil that determine purity. The less costly grades can be contaminated with the sap of various weeds that impart an unpleasant flavor to the peppermint oil. I’ve smelled several brands of peppermint oil or extract that have an “off” smell of weeds or chemicals. This Lorann peppermint oil smells nice and clean.I also use the Lorann Brandy flavoring to flavor caramels. I find that the Brandy flavoring is not quite as concentrated as the peppermint oil, but it still has a very nice taste. I use two of the 1-dram bottles to flavor a 3-pound batch of caramels. Each 1-dram bottles is about 3/4 of one teaspoon.These 1-dram bottles are the best way to try new flavors, and are the best way to buy flavoring oils if they might sit on your shelf for some time. This vendor has been great about shipping promptly and getting my mix of flavor bottles exactly right.Opened bottles of flavoring oil can lose potency once exposed to air, although there doesn't seem to be any quantifiable information available about this. It might or might not be a significant consideration. Just to be sure, I prefer to keep flavoring oils that i don't use often on the shelf in these little unopened bottles.

I ordered these as I am beginning to foray into candymaking. Last night I made a double batch of meringues and divided it into 7 bowls so I could test the flavors. I made about 1/2-3/4 of a cup worth of each flavor - here are my thoughts on the flavors so far:Raspberry - tasted great, but gave a slight pink tinge that I didn't care for.Champagne - I guess I'm not sure what I was expecting this to taste like. It's really hard to describe, maybe because I've never had a really fancy bottle of champagne. I never would've been able to guess that it was supposed to be champagne if I didn't know. Very subtle taste - needed about 15 drops to taste.Cheesecake - smelled great, but tasted really artificial. Definitely tasted like cheesecake, just really fake cheesecake. Needed about 15 drops to adequately flavor.Mango - I was the most excited for this one, and it was the one that disappointed me the most. It tastes really medicinal to me.Peach - loved this, tastes just like peach.Pear - loved this, it tastes a little like Absolut pear vodka more than just pear, but I still really liked it. Required about 10 drops to flavor.Pomegranate - loved this, tasted great but it also gave a bit of a pink tinge.I ordered almond, amaretto, bavarian cream, marshmallow, and vanilla butternut as well, but I haven't had a chance to test them yet. I really liked these, however, so I do plan to purchase more.
