This is the pinnacle of Panasonic mens shavers, and all shavers for that matter. Unfortunately, it is not easy to find from most retailers. The model I received had all instructions in Japanese. The handle is short and the head does not swivel as the US models do. Two features that, in my opinion, put it far ahead of it's brother Panasonic shavers. The short handle gives better control. The swivel feature, which my older panasonic has, is not all it's cracked up to be. I prefer the shaver head to NOT swivel. The swivel feature on my old model could be deactivated, but it still wobbled about, making control of the position of the shaver head difficult to control. This model that I have now has the shaver head firmly bonded to the handle. This means the cutterhead will go exactly where you want it to go as you move the shaver around your face. It comes with a very upscale hard case to transport it in. All in all, this model, which appears to be directed to the Japanese market, is heads and tails above it's American models.

Very handy high quality compact shaver

I have a very course, thick beard.This product is absolutely the best. It’s reasonable, easy for traveling, it cuts really well and fast without a shaving product (though I do put shaving oil). As a matter of fact, it cuts better without foams, etc.Tips: 1): don’t put shaving foams or cream when you are using this product 2) make sure it’s lubricated well with the genuine Panasonic shaver oil. That’ll ensure you don’t get cut from the blades too. 2)

The media could not be loaded. This is really a great shaver, very light shaves close, very quiet, at least a five day battery life in my case. Check out my photos. Here’s a big bonus. You can still hold down the power button for a few seconds and put the shaver into clean mode. Also save your cleaning station from a previous Panasonic shaver, put some tape with a little spacer behind it against the middle power contact and it will activate the cleaning station. You can then put your new shaver into the cleaning station and do a clean and dry or select just a dry cycle. It won’t operate the shaver, but it will do a clean, lubricate and dry cycle after you manually clean the shaver.

I was looking for a TRAVEL shaver that does a nice job. This shaver does a nice job. The problem is twofold. First, it is not as compact as I would like but where it really really fails is that it has a proprietary charging cable. The cable is hard wired to a plug that is fairly large. It completely destroys the possibility of using this as a travel shaver, as the cord and plug take up a huge amount of space. I have no idea why someone at Panasonic did not see this and design a charging cable that would use a USB connector of some kind. That would have made it compatible with all my other items that I travel with. For this reason, I give this unit an "F". Would I buy it again..?...as an every day shaver...yes...as a travel shaver...NO NO and NO. You can do better than this, Panasonic.

The best shave ever!!!

Love this shaver. Have been a blade user for my entire life and occasionally tried an electric razor. Best I found was Braun but couldn’t compare with a blade. This shaver is the best I’ve found. As close as a blade, comfortable, and quick. It’s compactness is also great. Only issue is the instructions are in Japanese only and it was missing the cleaning brush. I contacted seller and they gave me a translation and made a small adjustment for the missing brush.
