Very pleased with this banneton - sturdy, strong and well-made. Instructions for first time use included. Have had no problems with dough sticking - I use rice flour to sprinkle, shaking out excess before placing dough in banneton. Perfect size for my 500gms flour etc sourdough recipe. Highly recommend

I prefer to use a plain metal bowl now with flour in the base and am going to throw the wooden banneton away as the bread sticks to it all the time!

Useless dough stuck and overflowed bowl

I have been making sourdough bread for a couple of years (both regular and gluten free) and have purchased several different brands as I bake almost every day. So many have staples poking out and lots of splintering wood. This banneton is well made and clean of splinters. All I had to do was prep it by spraying with a little water and rice flour, let it dry and was ready to bake. I have bought more and am tossing the other ones. By far, nicest to proof my bread with. Also the shape is a little deep rather than just wide which makes the loaf a little taller!!

Sturdy, great look and finish. I am new at sourdough baking, but the basket works perfectly .I only spray it with a bit of water and dust it with AP flower and it releases the dough with no issue.The pdf booklet sent with the purchase is a nice touch.

This is a beautiful banneton. Nicely constructed and sturdy with a high-quality cover. However, it arrived smelling badly of chemicals. Before use, I strongly recommend that you:- wash the cover- trim off the wood pieces that are sticking out- wash and air dry the wood, and then- flour liberally with rice flourOnce done, this tool will be in perfect working order for years to come.
