Hella 003001681: Horn Kit Air 3-Trumpet Melody

This horn sounds amazing. Just the thing for your red foreign convertible! Easy installation and no lag with the compressor. Very pleased.

Great sound, loud enough. The horns were small enough to fit in front of the radiator on my S2000. All the bolts and parts needed for the installation were provided. A horn relay was provided, but I was able to use the wire to the original horn with a larger fuse to handle the compressor. The hardware was of first quality and designed to make installation in blind areas easy. No wire connectors were provided, so I had to get some push-on connectors. The installation was faster and easier than I expected, by comparison to the last set of air horns I installed over 30 years ago.

I've owned a Hella DOUBLE-horn before (without the stock horn engaged) and found that some people still don't recognize the tone, despite being loud enough. I wanted to go bigger this time because some people on the road simply don't pay attention to my factory horn until it's too late. I'm running the triple horn with the stock horn so these 4 frequencies do a great job at providing a full-spectrum and piercing sound that gets the proper attention. Depending how much room you have, 3 horns plus a compressor can be tricky, but they can all be mounted separately (may need some extra tubing).

Nice horns, bought a cheaper pair first and had several issues with those. Replaced with these and they have been issue free and a little louder. Worth the little extra money to get these vs the no names with their issues.

Couldn’t use without compressor

These are one of the big disappointments I have had. The instructions are printed so small, even my 4x magnifying glass can't make them readable. They came with no wiring so I don't know what I need to install them.After looking at them on my workbench for months, I took my truck to my mechanic for other repairs and asked him to install them. He bailed out too. They appeared to need mounting brackets or you are on your own to make them. I guess you could buy the materials while you were shopping for wire (after you magnify the multi-language instructions enough to read them).I gave them 3 stars because I'm sure they will honk once you finish the job HELLA started. I thought I was ordering a horn "Kit" and not just the parts that make noise.

Used the horns as a addition to the car alarm siren..works great!!

Not as loud as the older versions but still better than the beep beep I had. Great horns! You will need wiring.
