Awesome product, but a couple important things to note,
Works as designed, very compact, remote is a fantastic addition. Very good for the price as well if this is all you need.BUT there are some important things to know,This switch does not work with any VGA or DVI converters. It must be an HDMI to HDMI to work. If your monitor does not have HDMI, you will not be able to use it. ALSO, if you are planning to hook up computers with this product, be aware that not all computers will be able to transfer sound through HDMI so you may need to setup a separate audio system. Even with this product's included audio jack, the computer audio will not go through. It works just fine for PS4/XBOX though.

Does its job well -- but doesn't include USB brick!
Does its job and does it well. I use it because my A/V receiver won't pull audio from HDMI, and is limited on digital inputs (audio and HDMI). This solves that perfectly: 5 HDMI's with full digital audio into my receiver, and I just set the receiver to a single source for all of them. Really nice. One thing to note: it will change the input to a different input from time to time. This is in response to some sort of event: like powering on an HDMI source. I haven't bothered to figure out exactly when or why it does it. So far, it's actually done exactly what I want it to do: it always seems to be switched to the input setting I want when I go to use it, even if it wasn't the last one I used, and it's never switched while I was using it. But it was a bit of a surprise to have it switch things on its own.My only complaint: it includes a power cord that ends in USB. So you'll need a USB power brick to power this thing. That is not terribly unusual today, but terribly annoying. Include the stupid power brick! Had to temporarily steal one until I could get one from Amazon...

Saved me a ton of money
This was exactly what I needed. I was so afraid that I was going to have to buy a new TV when my LG soundbar started spewing out static. It had initially worked great with my TCL TV, via optical connection, but then the remote stopped working. After buying another remote from LG but having no success, I switched to the headphone jack (this soundbar has no HDMI port) and all was well again. For a few months. No matter what port I touched there was a ton of static. This little box works like a charm and now I'm able to listen to clear sound once again.

IR Command Conflicts with Nvidia Shield
You know what's not great? When you hit the "Ok" button on your TV's remote and it also registers as Input 4 on your HDMI switch.Inner dialog: "Okay, that's not great... but if I make my Nvidia Shield Input 4, then pressing the Ok button won't also change the switch's input. Great idea, me - really nice work!"Later...<Presses BACK button on Nvidia Shield remote; HDMI switch flips to Input 3.>"Welp, that sucks."We're using IR with our Shield because we want *one* remote instead of 10. This is a dealbreaker for an otherwise simple, fine device that does everything else I want it to do.

Doesn't Work With HDMI adapters - but why!?
TL;DR - don't buy this unless all devices have straight HDMI ports. It won't work properly.I purchased this to use with my computers and two monitors. I often switch between my docked 2014 MacBook Pro and an Intel NUC. The Mac has mini DisplayPort to HDMI adapters on it to connect to the monitors. I've previously used this setup with other HDMI switches and it was not an issue, so I didn't think it would be for this setup either. Apparently I was wrong. I didn't notice the small line buried in the product info about this particular switch not working with other adapters, so I could've saved myself the trouble if I had read it. But, like I said, I figured HDMI is HDMI and it wouldn't be a problem. When connected to my setup, the image appeared heavily tinted green and purple as shown in my photo. You can see the difference compared to the monitor next to it that is connected straight through. When I contacted support thinking this was a faulty item, they told me about the information I'd miss and suggest I replace my laptop with one that has and HDMI port. This is the reason for the low rating as I don't consider that to be an appropriate response. Perhaps in this age of devices with less and less ports and more and more need for dongles and things - they should update their product to support them.I never got to test the audio portion of this switch, so I can't comment on that. It's a shame because this thing is solidly built with a nice metal case and all of that. I really wanted to keep this, but I will be shopping for another solution now.

Nice, easy to use switcher for one monitor set ups.
I picked up this switcher to hook a SNES Classic and my Nintendo Switch to my computer monitor for ease and convenience while being hooked to my desktop computer. I use it especially for being able to be at my computer and play my games without fighting for the television when others are using it - I personally love it.My only issue with it is there isn't really a volume control on the remote/switcher itself, so I did not rate it on this review, but I did have a slight odd thing happen with it. I had the switcher set up so it would obviously prefer the monitor/computer on startup, since the switcher detects when the power of the current HDMI power source is active - but there was an odd situation where it preferred HDMI 3 over the one my computer is hooked too. A simple fix of just swapping the HDMIs to the one that the switcher seemed to prefer and I haven't had any of the problems since then. Since that seemed to be a niggle with it, I'd rate this a 4.5/5 just for that situation - but I'm very happy with it otherwise.I would recommend it - it is excellent, I love the remote so I don't have to click the button when I want to swap between the active HDMI sources and check my email in between playing my games. I know basically nothing about these sorts of tech things, so it was extremely easy to use and set up as well. It's been very helpful, satisfies my needs and was affordable without breaking the bank. I like it and would recommend.
