Good Replacement but More Fan Noise
My wife and I have the same Dell desktops so I was thinking about what could I do to mitigate one computer failing.Two components which I figure have a high failure rate are the disk drive and power suppy. I just happened to have a spare drive so I got this supply and started using it. It's from the same manufacturer, Chicony, but ups the power output from 180W to 240W. That's good for me because I added more power-using options: extra memory, external drive, video card, HDMI to DP converter.The biggest issue is the fan noise. It's noticeable but not too distracting. I understand it needs more airflow and unless you can shoehorn a larger fan a faster airflow is what you get.

Perfect replacement!
When I ordered the Dell replacement power supply, I worried that it might be a different size, or that the fasteners would be different, or maybe the wiring was not like the one that came out of my Dell computer. It was a needless worry. Perfect fit. Wires matched perfectly. All works like a charm. Awesome!
