I travel to the Caribbean often and I have had more sun hats ruined by getting crushed in my suitcase. When this hat was delivered in a small box I was sure it was ruined. When I opened it, it was neatly rolled up small and compact. When I unrolled the hat it was in perfect shape and ready to wear. Easily adjustable, cool and comfortable, exactly what I wanted—protection from the sun, cute and stylish, and I can wear it with my hair up in a bun. I wasn’t even looking for a sun hat that travels well. I got more than I bargained for. I truly love this hat.

I have wanted a cute and functional sun hat but couldn’t find one that checked all the boxes. This is the perfect hat for sunny days at the beach, hanging out by the pool or strolling the farmers market. The wide brim provides great sun protection so I know my face is protected from harmful UV rays.I ordered the khaki color and while it is a bit darker than I expected it is neutral enough to go with everything. The velcro makes the size adjustable to fit anyone. The tulip style design of the back of the hat allows it to be worn while laying in the sun and it doesn’t push your head forward. And the ponytail opening-it’s a game-changer! It allows me to style my hair is so many different ways, I can keep it down or pull it up off my neck to stay cool.I also love the design of this hat that makes it packable and foldable, making it easy for travel. It rolls up and has an elastic band to keep it rolled, but it unrolls nicely, keeping its original shape. I am so glad I finally found the perfect sun hat-I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a functional and cute sun hat.

Bought for a week-long trip to Lake Havasu and while it is a convenient pack-and-go Sunhat, it started to get uncomfortable on my head after wearing it for an hour or so. I ended up switching back to my baseball hat.

I wanted a hat I could wear with my hair up in a bun and this was so cute. I love the straw color and the adjustable fit of this hat. It also fit compactly in my suitcase. Being able to roll it up is so nice. It is sturdy and quality seems great.

Material seems ok, and stitching was ok, as far as I could tell for the short while it was out of the box. I’m disappointed that it doesn’t fit well at all. I have an average size head, and this is far too large. Even with the closure overlapped quite a bit, it would be too large for a “medium” hat. The gap in the back is also quite a bit wider than expected.Another, more minor, issue is that the elastic is black vs the color of the hat. In my opinion, it detracts from its attractiveness. If the hat had black trim, the choice of using black elastic wouldn’t seem out of place. However, with beige trim, it reads more like “what was available to use” vs it being a design choice. To be fair, the listing has both depicted in separate photos - one with black elastic and one with beige elastic, so there wasn’t a promise of elastic color.I have a similar hat from a different brand that fits well, but wanted one without a tie-able bow to wear while in the pool with child (tails sometimes get in the water with that one). Unfortunately, this one was not the solution.I’ve taken photos to compare/contrast the previously purchased hat (different brand) with this one, in the event a visual is helpful for others. Pics were difficult to take one-handed, so I hope they translate the comparison well enough. For photos with the closure fastened, the hook-and-loop pieces were perfectly aligned, so as to show accurate gap and for the purposes of exact comparison. I also overlapped this product (hat with beige trim) with the hat I already had (hat with black trim and ribbon tails) for size comparison. In one pic, you can appreciate how much “longer” the woven material is for the hat with beige trim (making it fit wider on the head). In another photo, the new hat (beige trim) and can be seen both above and below the overlapped hat (black trim), - just a tad longer in the brim and taller in the band - making it quite a bit larger than the one with black trim. They both show “medium” size, though I feel this one fits more like a “large.”In conclusion, if you’re someone with a larger head or lots and lots of hair, and you don’t mind the rather large gap in the back, this may be a good choice for you. As for me, I’ll be seeking either a different option, or maybe even another like I have, then cut off the ribbon tails.
