Great product. You get a good amout for the price. And it's strong.

Before getting this, I did some research to figure out if "triphala" really was a thing, or if this was some contemporary fad. I was pleased to discover that there are numerous references in early nineteenth-century medical journals by British doctors encountering the use of "triphala" -- with the same composition of myrobalan fruits -- in India. Moreover, even two hundred years ago they were commenting that since the name of the substance is Sanskrit, its use probably goes back much farther. This reassured me that humans have been using for many generations and thus, whether or not it actually has tonic properties, it is likely to be reasonably safe.I'm glad I did that research, because I was startled what a strong effect this stuff can have. The first few times I added some to my smoothie, I could feel my salivary flow increasing dramatically and I was barely able to keep back nausea. I figured that my body was confused because it was something I had never tried before -- but reassured that I was not being shortchanged on the potency of the stuff. Whatever it's supposed to do, I'm pretty sure it was doing it. I cut back to using only a tiny amount -- a quarter-teaspoon -- until my body got used to it. Now I can use a half-teaspoon (the recommended dose) without any ill effects, and I would go so far as to say that I even like it now. The way I like to use it is in a savory lassi with plain yogurt, salt, turmeric, cumin, and ground coriander. Unsurprisingly, it harmonizes well with other Indian spices.

The product is fine. It is what is described. The deal is, it's a matter of taste. I don't like the flavor of this triphala. (if there could be anything positive about the taste of triphala) Triphala in general is bitter/earthy--the thing is, I take it once a day and it has kept diabetes at bay. My sugar levels were borderline, now they are acceptable. Considering diabetes runs in my family and took my mother, it's important to me to do something to prevent it. I recommend triphala. This product is a organic good choice. The reason for 4 stars, is I don't like the taste, which my be unfair.

It is little bit bitter but it suppose to since it is made out of tri - food natural. I don't see problem of dissolving and those who finds proble dissolving can warm water for 30 sec and dissolves without proble. As far as the result I have to try atleast month before I can say I have got the benefit. All Aruvedic medicine is slow in showing effect and I am not quitinng. Good job. Thanks for the opportunity to purchase these kind of iteams at the door front.

I received this item but it was damaged and unfortunately its not returnable

This is well packaged but simply too old. The age and the fine grind have caused it to deteriorate so that it doesn't look or small like triphala, and the taste is weaker too.

I was concerned about the taste but it was not as bitter as I had read about. Prepare the tea and strain. It is much better than trying to drink the powder stirred into water. It has not caused any intestinal upsets. I have only been taking it for a week so the long term benefits are unknown at this time. I will post after a month or two.

Have tried one other brand but felt that the mix of three herbs, Harad (terminalia chebula), Baheda (terminalia bellirica) and Amla (emblica officinalis) was not correct. This product has a better mix and the taste is better. Would buy the same brand again.
