Could not be happier
This kit is phenomenal. The instructions, both the included paper and the video, are detailed, professional and accurate. I opted to solder mine so I could use the touchpad click and the L3/R3 buttons, and it worked perfectly. My only minor criticism is the shape of the buttons make it too easy to accidentally press the upper ones, so I've cut those ones down using a Dremel and turned them in to circular buttons which have a different feel and are not so easy to press by accident. It would be great if this kit included some additional, differently-shaped, buttons (or ones sold separately). But I'm so happy with the result. I've wanted a controller with back buttons for such a long time but could never justify the expense. This kit is not only affordable, but dead easy to fit.

Works really well (once you have 2 sided tape!)
I was expecting this to be really brittle or poorly made but having watched some review videos I decided to purchase. This is such a clever way to get yourself a bargain pro controller. Just set a couple of hours aside to complete the installation, it doesn't take that long but if you rush it, it can be frustrating. The bottom mold is solid, everything is nice and tight, no rattles, the re-mapping process is ridiculously easy. The installation can be daunting especially if you are all thumbs like me. I'd recommend a small pin nose pliers for plugging in and unplugging the existing controller cables. There was a real sense of satisfaction when the controller case closed properly and the re-mapping worked so easily. Only one con, I was all ready to go with the installation but didn't realise until too late that I needed a tiny bit of double sided tape!! Super annoying! Maybe it's something they could think about including in future! The only thing for me now is getting used to it, it's easy to push the buttons, I have them re-mapped for Firestorm (best BR ever!) so it's just gonna take time to get used to not hitting the buttons by accident. Remapped them to access the D-pad for inventory and health without having to stop running.Would absolutely recommend and would buy again which I think are the true tests for any product.

Will not work on every PS4 DualShock 4.
PS4 controllers come in generations, only the 2nd gen onwards will work with installing this mod. If you want to find out what gen yours is you have to take it apart and look at the motherboard.Unfortunately, I had a gen 1 controller so this is of no use to me.

Who needs a pro controller when you've got this?
Having bought the LED Kit for my controller, I also decided to buy the Remap kit that was available for my controller. One word of warning. It is very, very fiddly trying to install both kits in the same controller.Reasons for 4/5 stars are as follows.* Back shell of controller isn't 100% molded properly so doesn't fit snug in some areas.* Despite this kit being advertised as compatible with the DTF 2.0 kit, it is a pain in the butt to install.* The four screws securing the front and back shells together cannot be tightened too much, as this causes problems with the controller e.g. Pressing down on L3 can end up switching the controller off completely, back buttons stop working. This means you have to loosen the screws a considerable amount, to ensure that you don't have any conflicting problems inside the controller.*As mentioned in my review for the LED kit, battery life for the controller seems to have dropped by a considerable length of time after installation of both kits. Not sure if this is because the two circuits require a lot of power to run or not, but it does mean having to keep the controller plugged in.Other than that, I would say this is very good value for money and I am certainly very satisfied.

Great value for money... but
After getting fed up with being drop and jump shot constantly in Warzone/Modern Warfare, I decided I needed to do something about it. I didn't particularly want to remap my existing controller buttons after years of muscle memory so I decided I need to add some back buttons. After hours of research and positive reviews, I figured I would give this mod a go.It arrived super speedy and I was able to do the mod in under an hour. I went with the option of no soldering as I only wanted to map the four right pad buttons on the PS4 controller.Remapping was a breeze and I was back in Call of Duty drop and jump shotting like a pro within a couple of hours. However, after a few hours of play, the back buttons stopped working. I quickly realised that the heat of my hands or lap had triggered the heat sensor on the rear of the controller and put it in remap mode. This kept on happening throughout the night to the point I decided to open up the controller and remove the sensor. You can still enter remap mode using a button combo, so it's no big deal. I would recommend removing the sensor from the start as it's super annoying when it activates mid-game.Up until last night, I've been using the controller mod without any problems. It's comfy, easy to get used to and certainly helps in-game. I can now jump, mele, run, crouch, slide, replate, reload, open crates... all without taking my thumbs off the thumbstick or my index fingers of the triggers. But then it happened. The X button and the back button mapped to it stopped working. I don't know why - there's no obvious reason for it - it just stopped. I took the controller apart to see if anything had dislodged and couldn't see any problems. After reassembly, the X button worked but now the left trigger, the O button and the back button mapped to O no longer worked. This points to a connection issue but on inspection, everything is exactly where it should be with no loose joints or connections. Maybe the module is up the creek.I've returned the controller to stock and everything is working as it should - although it is very weird using the controller without those extra buttons on the back. It's a shame this has happened as I've loved using the mod and it did improve my gameplay. For the money, you can't really beat it and I've not heard anyone else have the same issue. Hopefully, mine is just a one-off.
