The heater works absolutely great!! I was scared of buying it online, but it was a great decision, you can adjust whatever temperature you want and the instructions come clear. It took about 4 hours to heat up completely and start the cycle, you can see the red light dot when it's doing it's thing and it has kept the temperature perfect for my future betta! I'm glad I chose this one

This heater has been working great for three months, we have it hooked to a soil thermometer that lets us set the max point, to control the water temp and it stays within 2° of our set point all the time. We have it in a 10 gallon tank and keep it at 79°.

Update: the HITOP team reached out to me immediately after writing this review, and offered a full refund for the broken product. They then reached out again to offer a brand new heater to replace the broken one. The team has been wonderful to work with, and they go the extra mile to help customers feel satisfied. I’m sure I got a faulty heater in the original package, as it was no fault of HITOP, but I so appreciate they made things right. The new heater works phenomenal.Original: After 9 years my original tank heater for my 10 gallon kicked the bucket. As I was going to redo my tank anyways, I ordered this heater but used two 5 gallon rated heaters for the mean time. Those two were able to keep the tank at a consistent 78° while the room is usually 68-69. Unfortunately I think I got a faulty heater as the light turns red but the heater itself is never warm, and my tank is getting colder.

This has worked so good for my betta fish! I had first got a kit that had a heater with it and after 3 weeks the water was still so cold, my betta had lost his appetite due to the temperature! I decided to buy this and it has been a complete life changer for me! My betta has a huge appetite now and swims freely and with spirit! I’m not worried about him anymore and it works very well!

I’m really impressed with this HITOP adjustable aquarium heater. I’m using the 200W model for my 100L tank, and it works perfectly. The heater is easy to install with the secure suction cups, and it maintains the water temperature exactly as set. It’s very reliable, and I’ve had no issues with overheating or fluctuating temperatures. The heater is also very quiet, which is a huge plus. I appreciate the quality and value for the price. Highly recommend it for anyone in need of a dependable aquarium heater!

Works great heated up my betta's tank just like the description said! He's been swimming real good, especially now that he's not freezing his tail off!

PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS! I just had a devastating loss in my tank because this thing decided it wanted to get hot and melt all all the plastic clips. It probably shocked my entire tank!I just did a water change on my 10 gallon tank. I always shut down my heater, filter, and air bubblers. Once the water gets high enough to cover the heater, I start everything up again. Jesus, I had just put the last gallon of water in the tank and all I could see was smoke. I thought it was my light, but it was coming out of the water because everything was melting. I switched the main power button on my surge protector. My fish started flopping and sinking to the bottom. I had a net that I was able to catch a few tetra fish that were at the top. My shrimp darted to the top of the tank, then nose dived to the bottom and turned upside down.I am so upset right now. I just lost 5 fish and a dozen shrimps. Probably will lose my assassin snails and two other tetra fish that I was able to get out of my tank. I have several pest snails that are now laying on their sides that will probably die. But those are not such a big deal. I spent nearly 6 months on this tank getting everything right. I just didn't have a heater, and opted for this one because of all the "Wonderful Reviews". Don't do it people.I am adding photos, not of my fish that were loss.

Works well. Great adjustable for great price. Bought a second for an additional betta tank.
