Beautiful, Large Kinetic Spinner.
This is our 4th Stanwood Kinetic Spinner and we love them all. We have the smaller Dancing Willows Spinner and recently relocated it from our backyard to the front of our home in some new landscaping we did. So we purchased this larger one for our backyard. It is absolutely wonderful. One cautionary note... Because it is so much taller the Copper Pole is a bit more difficult to get all the way into the ground, down to the recommended mark on the pole. I hit some tough soil half way through and had to stop. In the process I damaged the threads of the Brass Fitting THAT MUST BE IN PLACE when you are hammering it into the ground with a RUBBER MALLET. I don't know why this happened as the Fitting was screwed all the way in and I did not have this issue with our other 3 Spinners. Anyway I called Customer Service at Stanwood and spoke with the Manager, Ryan Huang. He had me take photos of the Brass Fitting Threads and the Pole Threads and email them. He got back to me immediately and said he would send out a new Brass Fitting. That was on a Friday. the replacement arrive on Monday! FANTASTIC Customer Service.Needless to say I was very careful this time around and predrilled a hole to a decent depth before attempting to hammer the pole into the ground. You can not go wrong with any of the Stanwood Kinetic Spinners!

Still Facinated! Love it!
This is one very nice wind sculpture! If you do buy one, here are a few of my observations. I found the pole that the wheels mount to was somewhat tarnished, perhaps with soldering flux, etc. I took a piece of 200 grit sandpaper and lightly sanded the pole to achieve a shine before applying two coats of lacquer to the pole and the wheels. I also wanted more stability to the unit than that afforded by the three pole spikes supplied, so I purchase an 80 lb sack of QuickCrete concrete mix and dug a hole approximately 16" deep and 10" in diameter into the soil to set the pole. If you do this, set just the lower half of the pole (pointed end) to a depth indicated on the pole, and add the top section after the concrete has hardened for 24 hours. Mix the concrete somewhat dry and plumb the base pole with a level, and watch so it does not lean out of plumb while curing. In positioning the unit in your yard, keep in mind that the blades will rotate so that they are facing the wind direction (although the wind will change directions). So position the unit in your yard so that the blades will face your field of view, if possible.Living in Idaho, I remove the wheels in late fall and replace them early in the spring; but before doing so, I dab a small amount of axle grease in the bearings using my finger. The constantly spinning wheels probably need greasing every year. Well worth the effort!

Better than expected
This is my 3rd Stanwood Spinner, and I have to say this one is simple the best one yet. Even though the price is up there, the spinner is extremely well made and should last for several years without any issue. I would strongly recommend any and all of the Stanwood spinners if you are looking for the best of the best, these are.

Disappointed
Replaced the bearings in the wheels already.... Had the one only a month when it quit spinning. Very disappointing for the amount of money I paid for the large willow spinner.

Beautiful Lawn Sculpture! Worth It!
The media could not be loaded. This is a beautiful piece! I love looking at it in my garden and it spins effortlessly. I did spray it with clear enamel because I like the way the shiny copper looks and I don't want it to turn green and patina. I live in the Midwest and it's rated for wind speeds of up to 50mph. There may be days in the spring that I may remove the top during severe weather though. It's a really good quality piece and the only thing that could make it just a bit better would be longer ground spikes to make it just a bit sturdier. I ordered the 9ft tall by 3ft wide size.

Gorgeous, no issue w/birds
I love this one. It is my 4th from this seller. This one was for my most recent birthday. Actually I love all of them. They remind me of the wind sculptures in the mother's yard in the movie Twister. So I have the start to my 'wind sculpture' garden. I have tried others from different stores and they have broken apart, including two different windmills. My husband installs a metal t-post, attaches the sculpture pole with 4 zip ties, slides a black thick plastic pole over the copper pole and t-post combination, and installs the top. No wobbles, no bending, nice clean look. My husband feeds dozens of wild birds daily and they have no issue with these sculptures.

Excellent quality!
We were tired of spending 100-120 on garden spinners that our local nurseries assured us were great only to have them break or stop working after only a few months. After reading the reviews for this one we closed our eyes and spent more than we ever thought we would on yard art but I sure wish we had of done it sooner! Heavy duty construction with copper and brass all spinning on bearings, if you look at the thing hard it will start moving :)
