Amazing product
I was looking for a rice cooker for my restaurant with least steam and this works amazing. It definitely is the best. It can be operated even in a kitchen which doesn't have a vent. The steam it produces is like non existent.Super

Broke in two days
My preferred rice cooker, which provided reliable service for years, but now , has malfunctioned after only two days of use. I am concerned about the apparent decline in the quality of Hamilton Beach products.

The pot fits nicely into the old pot
A little smaller than the older version. The pot fits nicely into the old pot. Overall dimensions are smaller by a lot though so it's more space efficient. The big reason why it doesn't get 5 stars is the pot coating. The old coating that Proctor Silex used was a lot better. If you turned the old pot upside down, rice would fall out in a pot shaped chunk. It didn't even needed to be washed. You just had to wipe it with a dry paper towel. The new pot needs to be scrubbed. If you're going to make multiple pots, I would suggest a net, otherwise known as a rice napkin, to dump the rice into another container so the pot is easier to clean. It's still reliable.
