I bought this for my granddaughter for her birthday. She really loves it! It really looks realistic. The size was great. It’s cute and the color looks just like a real one. it’s durability, and the quality of it is good. I would definitely recommend buying this It’s a fun toy to play with

Cute but I repainted it to look better
I was looking for a last minute cake topper and I decided to go with this realistic axolotl but when it arrived it wasn’t that bad looking but I wanted to make it look cuter so I grabbed some paint and just added a few details and it came out looking great

Axolotl minding his own business
I purchased this axolotl partly because I read the only other review saying it was “horrible” & made a child cry & I was curious how it could possibly be That Bad! 😂 So, the thing is, it looks exactly like the photo in the listing. It’s one of those hard plastic model animals that can be so fun to collect, look at on a shelf, or play with on the floor or in sandbox. It’s not soft. It’s not cartoonishly cute. It’s not cuddly like a plush toy or squishy like a rubber toy. It just wasn’t what her son wanted or imagined - that’s all! This guy definitely isn’t “horrible”! He’s just a nice plastic Axolotl, minding his own business! If that’s what you want - buy one! If not - don’t! But don’t blame him for not being what your kid imagined! 😂
