I ordered a top-rated portable AC that did not fit my window, despite the fact that the description said it would. Amazon was nice about returning it, but I didn't want to have that problem twice. So I chose the Zafro because of the videos showing that it fit all window sizes. Now I am very happy that I ended up with this one. It is smaller than the first one, it has more power--16,000 vs 14,000, and it was less expensive. The part that goes in the window is also far less high (only 7.5") so you lose less of your window. It was super easy to set up, it is very quiet--far less noisy than the window air conditioner in my bedroom, and it cools the large (600 sq.ft/ 9ft ceilings) living area in my hot, top-floor NYC apartment. Another thing that I love is that, unlike the window air conditioner in my bedroom, this one reduces the humidity. The window installation is so easy that I put it in and out depending on the weather. At this point, I can't speak to this AC's longevity, but I am super happy with it.

Defective model. I was careful to read reviews prior to purchasing and they were good but since have changed to negative.This unit is pretty quiet and works very well WHEN it works.I use this to keep bedroom cooler at night but writing this in the middle of the night because the unit once again has malfunctioned.I set the temperature then set fan to low but in the middle of the night the fan speed switches to high on its own. Other times the unit shuts itself off and no I am not engaging the timer.Now the digital display is reading between 21° and 32I believe the control boards are defective.Customer service is nonexistentDo not waste your time and moneyNow the question is how to return this hunk of junk, oh joy

Over all, I am very pleased with this AC unit. It does a great job of keeping my room cool and the fan noise is very relaxing and a great white noise to sleep to.But I have a question: if I’m running it on the AC set to a certain temp, once it hits that temp the unit turns off. I’m curious if there’s a way to have the fan keep running instead of the whole unit turn off. When just the fan is on, the cooling feature isn’t engaging. Is there a way to have the fan start and run once the cooling off? Or keep the fan part on, and when the temperature rises above the set temp, it’s supposed to it kicks on the cooling feature?Help!

My bedroom is pretty big and wide with high ceiling on the top floor of the town home but in summer time room doesn’t get cold enough with central air condition so I’ve been searching for a good portable air conditioner and after done my research I decided to buy this Zafro Portable Air Conditioner even it is a new brand in the market because of it’s features and friendly user technology. It is a very stylish design and strong durable body not a cheap plastic material. Very easy setup also it is comes with windows kit. Very attractive things are; very quietness, auto swings ventilation technology and fast cooling. Simply Love this Zafro Portable Air Conditioner.

On July 17, decided to order a back up room A/C "just in case" because I live in FL. Plus, I'm in my 70's and extreme heat is dangerous for folks my age. Checked all the reviews for a 10,000 BTU and the ZAFRO seemed to be the best fit. It was due to arrive July 24.That night, my whole house A/C stopped working. Repairman ordered the part but it wouldn't be in until Tuesday. Florida was starting a heat wave, 98 degrees each day and it was miserable. No rooms at the only local motel that would accept pets!! I went to my nearest big box store and bought an unknown named portable A/C unit for my bedroom. Inside the house was 93, my office went as high as 99 and it was too hot to leave the bedroom. Saturday, the 19th, Amazon delivered the ZAFROS!!! 5 days early!!! I'll take it! Immediately installed it in the office. It took about 4 1/2 hrs to cool a 25 x 12 room (huge floor to ceiling windows on 3 sides) from 99 to 81 degrees. I opted to empty water buckets because it was so hot and humid. I figured the extreme water output at first would overwhelm the water extractor and I didn't want the machine to shut down automatically.ZAFROS was on continuously five days and saved my sanity.The unit is smaller than the emergency one I bought, it was a breeze to open as you cut the plastic straps and then lift the box off the A/C unit. Wheels are already on. Adjusting the panels to the large window was simple. I had to look around for my own foam weather stripping to form the seal, but it was easy to hook the exhaust hose up. The window ledge was too tall so ended up using paint stirrers under the panel so the exhaust hose would clear the window sill. It worked great, noise is no more than a window unit, plus I can easily roll it to what ever room I want.I'm leaving it in the office, because with all those windows, sometimes that room needs a little extra help to keep it comfortable.I'm thoroughly impressed with the ZAFROS 10,000 BTU portable A/C, it held up admirably to this extreme Florida heat, very easy for me to install and use, the remote control is easy to understand, noise level was not unexpected, even though I chose to empty buckets at first, that was relatively easy. Plus it was delivered straight to my door. I feel I made a good choice with the ZAFROS and I'm ready for the next "Heat Dome" which is expected next week.
